each issue contains stuff I love:

• The Indie Kitchen features gluten free and dairy free recipe makeovers {often with vegan options} from my old cookbook faves. • How to keep your family healthy with essential oils • Learn more about natural skincare and create your own products with The Holistic Esthetician make & takes. • The Indie Shopping guide brings you some of the coolest stuff around, straight from the artists that create it.

• I shop for vintage clothes + independent designs, and share what I find... so I don’t buy it all! • Spiritual practices to improve your wellbeing • DIY projects that find new ways to use traditional patterns. • Interviews with creative types that inspire me. Including indie business owners that are somehow carving out a niche, or ones with amazing branding + products!

My readers are mostly women ages 28-45. Most of them are like me: mothers + indie business owners. They like crafty projects, vintage decor, and are health conscious. They are looking for guidance in the form of classes, facebook pages to follow, DIY ideas + inspiration, tutorials to learn from, blogs to read, communities to join, and ways to practice self care and gratitude while running a successful business + raising a family.

I ’m obviously pretty chatty, I keep in touch via social media:

illustrators: Draw me something to stitch! Gain exposure for your work by adapting it to be used as an embroidery pattern. I especially love to convert doodles into patterns. In return, I include you in: • • -at least 3 pics on social media while I stitch up your pattern. • • -a featured post on the blog. • • -a two-page spread in indie lovely magazine. • • -printable pattern included in the extended version of the mag. •

here’s an example:

Nicole Ray of Sloe Gin Fizz

illustrated this adorable pattern for us to stitch. Isn’t it so cute? I decided to use metallic thread for the bell jar and used backstitch for most of it. French knots made the little circles, and I added a few little extra brown lines in the dirt. I used a single strand of the metallic thread and two strands for every other color. Print it out and start stitchin! Post pics of your project on the Indie Lovely facebook page! I wanna see the colors you choose!

Artists & photographers Get exposure for your artwork by sharing a printable in the extended version of the magazine. I like photographs of seasonal beauty, graphic art prints, memory keeping printables, posters, patterns, etc. Anything that is in printable form. It needs to be : 1-2 pages Either jpg or PDF file 8.5 x 11 inches Please copyright it, include your logo and your website on the printable sheet.
