PHOENIX PLAZA
Hartford, Connecticut
Poenix Plaza is a critcal pedestrian connection through downtown Hartford, Connecticut. It provides in 2010, it was in dier need of repair.The design intent played off the famous architecture of the Phoenix Headquaters curvinliner lines. The new design adds extensive green roof plantings that reduce heat island effect while creating a pedestrian walkway and plaza that people seek out to experience. Upper Arlington, Ohio
Northam Park is one of Upper Arlington’s signature community parks. Extensive community engagement was performed to giving the residents a chance to design their own park. The design of the park includes a new pool area, park entryway enhancements with promenade, drop off area and a centenial plaza, and a nature themed playground that joins a new reading garden for the adjacent library. Newark, Ohio
This multiple-award-winning, placemaking project, reimagined the hundred-year-old town square and adjacent streets of a historic Ohio town. Four small urban roundabouts were placed around the courthouse at the center of the downtown, creating traffic calming elements that allow for a a more pedestrian friendly space. Green infrastructure was utilizied with bioretention raingardens. Old roadway brick was reused in the enter of the roundabouts. The project has given the City of Newark a rebirth. DTW AIRPORT ENTRY SIGN Detroit, Michigan
The gateway entry feature came from a placemaking study to enhance the travel experience for domestic and international visitors to the Detroit airport. This entry feature is placed at one of the main entries into the DTW airport. Large light columns illuminate the feature at night in the airport colors

The purpose of this project was to develop gateway concepts for two main entry points into the City of Wooster. Existing gateways, wayfinding and directional signage around Wooster will be evaluated in order to be consistent and cohesive with design and materials of city signage. Following client review and concept selection, OHM Advisors proceeded with developing bid documents for which the City of Wooster can solicit for construction. OHM Advisors developed a comprehensive gateway package that included designs for a primary, secondary and tertiary gateway. The gateway package identify physical parameters for the sign family including fonts, color and materials so the City can apply these gateways to locations they feel are critical vehicular and pedestrian entry points. This package can continually be referenced for the gateway standards and guidelines without having to reinvent the wheel.
