It takes months to build the image and finish each piece.” Although viewers may experience Anne’s paintings as non-representational, Anne regards her paintings as clear and unclouded pictures of how she perceives and processes the world. They are documentations of what she envisions and function as her method of communication. Born in Duluth, MN in 1965, Anne Labovitz grew up on the shore of Lake Superior amongst the backdrop of the majestic upper Midwest forests.
