Introducing I AM (NO) MINIMALIST, Annelies Kuypers' Graduate Collection (2020).
The I AM (NO) MINIMALIST collection employs simplicity and digital printing to provoke the wearer to examine issues of conspicuous consumption and capitalism. My critical research establishes an understanding of the tensions in minimalism, informing a more appealing minimalist aesthetic. Similarly, my collection asks: does our minimalism successfully challenge consumerism?
