For Admin purposes ALL CONTACT should be made through the Butterflies email – butterfliesnetball@gmail.com It is important your questions can be seen and answered by all three committee team members – Anne , Jenny and Janeece, and its beneficial to all if the question is in writing assuring all questions will be answered correctly and within appropriate time limit. From experience in previous years the Butterflies Committee, Coaches and Managers have been overloaded with phone calls and txt messages regarding various questions, in some cases due to the enormity of questions it is not always easy to get back to every question straight away, so we feel this system of EMAIL CONTACT ONLY will work more efficiently for all. If call is Wet Weather related or Urgent then text or phone to your Team Manager call are okay.

Q: What is the Butterflies Blurb and Girl of the Game? Each week Butterflies committee put out a Weekly Newsletter to keep all players and parents’ upto date with our Club. As part of keeping you all upto date we ask the Team Managers to organize a “Butterflies Blurb” and whether it was a Win or Lose and the score to be posted in the newsletter. A nice idea is to give it to a different team member each week to do the write up because they know their game the best. Also it’s totally upto the team but it’s nice to give out Girl of the Game each week; this is usually nominated by the Umpire. If you require Girl of the Game certificates please notify us by emailing butterfliesnetball@gmail.com and we will forward one on. Q: Will an umpire be supplied for my team? The club will supply an umpire for each game and payment for this comes out of your registration payment. Modies coaches are to umpire their own games each week, this is Randwick Association Rule. Q: Who will coach my team? Coaches are very hard to come by. We are very fortunate to have Jenny Morrissey and some mums that have volunteered their time again this season. A memo in our next newsletter will notify you of your coach and the coach’s duties. For all team members and parents please remember that Coach’s are not paid and give a lot of their time generously. We ask in return that you respect their decisions and keep your opinions positive. Q: What if I have a complaint or criticism? If you have any complaints or criticisms please direct it them to the Butterflies Committee: Jenny Morrissey (club president) Anne Smith & Janeece Fiala (club Secretaries) via email and we will follow it up as soon as possible. If any question or complaint is Urgent you can always organize to speak to Jenny Morrissey before or after training if time permits. Please don’t use Saturdays for question asking as all Coach’s, Umpires and Committee are usually too busy on game day. Q: Will my daughter be able to play her favourite position? Our club policy is to give equal time on court during the 14 rounds of the competition. This is dependent on attendance at training. Your daughters coach will be able to ascertain very quickly the position suited best for your daughter for the team. Sometimes it’s not what suits your daughter on the day but what is best for the team. Please keep in mind Butterflies are very much team players. Q: What happens if it’s been raining or raining on morning of Saturday game? For all Junior and Senior teams please wait until your Manager has texted or phoned you to notify you that your game is definitely off. If you do not hear from your Manager it means all games are on and go to court. A committee manager will contact your Manager to notify them of RNA wet weather decision For Modies who play at 8.30am & 9.23am – this is always a tricky one but basically the coach and manager have to be at the grounds at 8am and go to control room to see what has been decided then contact the rest of your team. After years of experience it seems the only way that works most efficiently. Randwick does not have a Wet Weather Line, they say they broadcast it on 2GB but personally I would not trust that.
