Poppies for Anzac day Supplies: 40 students Red cardboard Black paper Yellow paper Yellow ball/bead Petal templates, white cardboard Stapler x 2
240 Sheets deep red cardboard A4 40 sheets of green cardboard 80 Sheets of red paper 40 sheets of black cardboard 20 sheets of yellow paper 40 yellow balls/beads
Hot glue guns x 2 4 copies of templates in cardboard Instructions:
Trace out: 3 large petals - red cardboard 3 medium petals – red cardboard 2 small petals – red paper 2 Stamen – black paper 1 strip yellow paper
Cut out all the parts
Cut petals down the dotted lines
Fold over and staple all petals
Cut yellow strip half way down in .5 cm strips, roll the strip up around a pen, and press down on the top with hand to separate.
Building your poppy:
Build your poppy starting from the large petals and working your way down to the stamen. Gluing each section with hot glue. Place the two black stamen in the centre and glue with hot glue. Place the yellow strip into the centre of the black stamen and push down. Place yellow ball in centre with hot glue
Trace and cut out leaf Score paper down middle Cut down dotted line Fold two parts together and staple Hot glue to bottom of already made poppy
