emerging D e s i g n e r q&a: Marco Marco; the man, the myth, the soon to be legend having designed for everyone from Shakira to Katy Perry to Nicki Minaj. This LA based designer is hoping to leave no stone unturned and opens up to ANNEX about how he got his start and why he loves LA. ANNEX: What inspired you to become a designer? MARCOMARCO: I wanted to do something creative, I didn’t necessarily care what it was or at least not in the beginning. I kind of did everything that I could that was sort of creative in nature as a kid and just wanted to make sure I kept going. That I didn’t graduate form school and have to go into a world where I couldn’t play like that. And, you know, I went to Cal Arts.. they kind of guided me towards costume it wasn’t anything that I was desperate to do but I really liked it. They definitely saw something that in me the sensibility seemed to go that way. So, that’s how it happened. [Laugh] It wasn’t like something I was hoping forever that’d I be a designer. I think I knew how to sew, my grand parents were in the garment industry…it was more something that I happened as I got older, its something that I discovered I could make money and also have fun and play with color and shape and composition… ANNEX: So, why LA and not New York or Paris or Milan? MM: I’m from LA and I love it here. I love New York but only like 4 months out of the year. I’m not good with extreme weather and I speak Spanish…It’s always warm and beautiful. ANNEX: Do you think the success you’ve attained in such a short amount of time has changed you in anyway? MM: …It doesn’t feel like a short amount of time to me [Laugh] and it doesn’t feel any different to me, nothing in my life has changed so drastically that Im sitting smoking a cigar chillin’… ANNEX: What advice do you have for other up and coming designers and people within the fashion industry? MM:I think it’s important to know what kind of clothes you want to make and for whom. Because that says a lot about the type of designs that you will be able to make…not everybody gets to just go out into the world and be Galliano and do crazy things, you’re going to have to make money somehow. You’re going to have to support you and your business and anybody who’s helping you with your business, so you have to keep one foot on the ground and do something that’s actually going to get you somewhere, but at the same time do that in a way where you don’t loose yourself completely. Also realize 10 years down the road that you hate that side of fashion and hate what you’re doing. ANNEX: What would you say was your big break, the moment everything changed? MM: I feel like I’m still waiting for that…I’ve had a lot of interesting moments. I think the first time I felt that something was happening was with Black Eyed Peas and Fergie, that was the first time I felt like I was part of a team and so that’s the first time I stoped worrying so much about whether I was doing the right thing or not, and started to worry about what I could do to make more out of what I had created…But I feel like the big break is when I’m chillin’…sitting somewhere reading a book, then ill be like oh that was my big break… ANNEX: And that’s why we are featuring you as an emerging designer. Because obviously there is a precipice in which you wish to hit and you’re not there yet but you’re working towards it. You’re making big and beautiful things and you’ll get there eventually. MM: Thank you, or Ill do something else. I feel like what we are doing is always changing, it’s always a different business than it was the year before…But I don’t think they’ll be a day where ill be like, I’m done. But if that day where to come I’m sure id be fine with it. ANNEX: Thank you, so much!

Not only recognized as a contributor to one of the most innovative mainstream fashion publications on the planet but she is pretty darn stylish also. Constantly barraged by photographers, know for her flamboyant stylings that on many occasions consist of a spectrum of bright colors, loud accessories and fascinators that would dazzel even the queen. A frequent attendee of events such as the Met Gala, Cannes Film Festival, and CFDA awards. Quoted as a “fashion maniac” by Helmet Newton, yet a self proclaimed “passionate fashionista”, Anna is definitely at the top of the fashion food chain.

Anna Dello Russo Editor At Large - Vogue Japan

Jane Aldridge, at the mere age of 15 started her blog Sea of Shoes. With growing hype the blog has caught the attention of Kanye West and Tory Burch amongst thousands of others. She clings loyal to her favorite designers Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Louis Feraud, and Lilly Ann. She’s worked designing shoes for Urban Outfitters, Neiman Marcus window displays, and earlier this year shotting Insider Fashion Access for Barney’s New York. We can only expect her strut to continue forward.

Born in Japan raised in Rome, Nicola Formichetti began his fashion quest working in a boutique where he became art director and head buyer for two years. After being discovered by fashion editor Katy England he became fashion director where he was ultimately promoted to creative director three years later. Following a collaboration with Lady Gaga, in which he now leads her creative team ‘Haus of Gaga’ and was just recently announced as the new creative director for the Parisian fashion house MUGLER.

q&a

Name: Ana Chrysanthopoulos Age: 21 Hometown: Lafayette, NJ School: Rutgers University Title: PR Intern COMPANY:

Annex: What drew you to the world of fashion? Ana: Since I could remember I have always had an affinity to the arts and visually stimulating matter. While I was incredibly passionate throughout middle school and high school to pursue an art related career, originally applying to various art schools for studio art, I recognized it wouldn’t provide me with the illustrious future I strived for. The fashion industry provided a desired focus and outlet for my instruction and has allowed me to incorporate my creative qualities in a more constructive manner. Fashion is an incredible art form that combines practicality and purpose with imagination and innovation. Annex: How did you land a coveted internship at Valentino? Ana: I actually just applied after sighting the listing on FreeFashionInternships.com! At the time, I was in this odd transition from my past internship at Gilt Groupe and thought why not? While I feel that my 2 years of PR, Marketing and Event Planning experience definitely helped me stand out among the rest of the competition, I truly feel that with many career opportunities it is all about being at the right place at the right time. You’ll be fairly surprised by the individuals that you are in the running with, and I believe that interviewing skills often outweigh the majority of an individual’s credentials. Compatibility with the environment and the prospect employers on levels of personality and mutual goals is so incredibly crucial when landing an internship.

Annex : Adelynn

Annex : Adelynn

Annex: What was your biggest fear going into the internship? Ana: After exposed to an incredibly laxed environment at Gilt Groupe (which at the time was just a year old), I definitely knew Valentino would be quite the transition. Like most entering the industry, one fears the typical misconception of the Devil Wears Prada-esque environment. Recognizing that there is an endless demand for internships in fashion, I was concerned of blending in with the rest and knew that in order to flourish in this company I had to contribute a little extra something that would make me stand out. With that said, this intimidating industry makes it challenging to stay true to oneself. Holding onto my own vision was a daily battle that easily got tangled in the pressures of being accepted. Annex: What would you normally wear to the office? Ana: The dress code was much more casual than I originally anticipated. Another concern going into this internship was that I feared that I didn’t have the wardrobe to work for a luxury label like Valentino. While we were restricted to black, navy, nudes and whites, I was still able to experiment with my wardrobe by mixing up some traditional separates. A great fitting trouser and statement blouse were always my go-to pieces due to the hectic series of events incorporated into one day. Although I wanted to exude a sense of professionalism by wearing heels in the office everyday, comfort was key and a great pair of flats were always stowed away in my desk. Annex: Walk us through a typical day at Valentino. Ana: With New York being the only corporate Valentino office in the US, my boss, another intern and I handled all press requests for all the major fashion publications, celebrity stylists and socialites. Sample trafficking was an incredibly crucial component of the day, where my boss and I handled all US requests as well as numerous international requests. Coordination of samples by prepping particular requests and facilitating returns largely relied on the intern’s actions. Fittings with various editors, socialites and celebrities were often tied into the days schedule as well as meetings with editors to compose pulls for various photo shoots. Scanning print and online sources for credits was also a vital element of the day, as well as proper formatting of credits for internal purposes. Annex: Did you gain mentor(s) along the way? Ana: I worked with an incredible team of individuals throughout my experience at Valentino, and since it was a small staff I was able to interact with all of the departments. I established a wonderful relationship with my boss, the PR Coordinator, as well as various individuals in our Accessories, Visual and Events Departments. My boss played such a vital role in not only advancing my career and education in the world of PR and fashion, but also served as an incredible contact to add to my network. I can’t stress enough how important it is to find that perfect balance of professionalism and friendship with your mentor, which can inevitably provide you with a world of opportunities in the future. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with an incredibly attentive and compassionate individual who always looked out for my best interest, while approaching every circumstance with the utmost respect and honesty. Annex: What was the most surprising thing you learned while interning? Ana: The dynamics of the company was incredibly refreshing and not what I initially anticipated. Not only was I surprised that Valentino was a much more intimate environment of only 40 employees, but each task at hand was largely a group effort. Almost every responsibility of the day required the assistance from the Pret-a-Porter, Red Valentino, Accessory, Events, Visual and Sales Departments, exposing myself to experience all angles of how a company operates. This surprising factor was largely beneficial to my education of the fashion industry in learning what it takes to manage a successful luxury label. Annex: What is your next step in the industry? Ana: After 3 years of interning in the fashion industry, I am definitely looking forward to graduating in May. While my experience lies in Public Relations, Marketing and Events, I would love to possibly dive into Visual Merchandising and Creative departments. In the grand scheme of things, I would love to see my career enable me to live abroad in Europe one day.

‘Denimology’: Roaring back from it’s grave, post 80’s the aged denim look is flooding the sreets and with the aide of designers like D&G and Jeremy Scott and even fast fashion labels Zara and H&M.

‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’: Camoflouge is one of the easiest ways to stand out, in a good way. And with numerous designer houses revamping the age old print for 2012 spring, expect the raid to continue.

‘Oh say can you see’: The stars and stripes of the good ol’ American flag has been everywhere as of late. If this is any indication of voter turnout for the upcoming election,

we’re looking at record numbers.

‘Friday Night Lights’: Whether it’s all the 80’s and 90’s babies feeling nostalgic or not the letterman jacket is an easy touchdown. Even if you didn’t make the varsity squad you can jump on this trend, adding your own flare or keping it classic.

resort : 2013 1 band of outsiders

A Los Angeles based designer, offered us a sexy silhouette. While using innovative fabrication to create an illusion of futuristic and majestic color ways. The brand continues to remain true to their nautical feel, by using radiant prints and pops of reds and the blues throughout.

issey miyake 2 This Japanese designer has done it again! Using their “new wave of technology” to create minimal yet sensual pieces, that compliment the natural body. The use of subtle shades of blue and white give the collection an ease and airy ambiance.

3 house of holland

Hello House of Varsity only two resort seasons deep the collection triumphs. In between pom poms, pleats, stripes, and sweet prints the house definitely turned it’s static british roots in an alma mater pride direction. Hinting at a salute to the 70’s collegic atmosphere.

tucker 4 The spontaneous, eclectic, NY label spins off this Resort 2013 season with a carefully contrived collection, full of flourishing prints and contrasting textiles. Heavily influenced by Gaby Bosura’s travel excursion to Paris during the time at which she was designing the collection all the while catering to the need of her consumer, and delivering a new take on her mainstay, the trouser.

5 damir doma

Damir Doma was “all in” this resort season, offering ot only a collection but a way of life. Holding back from his usual dramatic overtones with the aim of a more cool and effortless look. With great seperates of like denim vests and billowed sleeved blouses, all aspects creating an ease and fluidity.

menswear: spring 2013 1 mugler

Jaws to the runway anyone, with a feverent display of almost gill like cutouts and a shark like iridescent custom made textile, the collection heavy on edge is still very oddly wearable – for those who have the body, of course. A congrats is definitely in order for the new ‘superman’ of fashion and Mugler’s creative director Nicola Formichetti along side menswear designer Romain kremer.

kris van ashe 2

Standing as one of the most tamed showings during the men’s season Van Ashe who took his inspiration from the most essential piece in a man’s closet, the white T-shirt. Adding short sleeves to already long blazers, complete denim looks and a blown up argyle, making Van Ashe a standout.

3 moncler gamme bleu

Moncler never one to skimp on the drama, Thom Brown delivered an almost a literal interpretation of not only the sailor, but the entire boat itself. A show stopping collection at the least, which most certainly did not disappoint. Yet strip away the theatircs and you’d see the impeccable crafstmanship and hand of a true menswear connoisseur.

moschino 4 With one of the most festive and eye catching collections Moschino took a nod from Andy Warhol and Pop Art. “…I wanted an injection of energy,” says Jardini, creative director of the house. Who allowed for their “Fresh” print -reminiscent of 70’s detergent packaging- fabric, and –very loud- color blocking too stand as the main focus of the collection while still presenting a very dapper gentlemen of sorts.

5 belstaff

Presenting a more man’s man; Belstaff stole the show with a very sophisticated yet edgy collection presenting impeccable leathers with great biker details paired with flat front, straight leg, and skinny trousers. Easily making Belstaff our most wearable and versatile selection of showcases.

COUTURE: Fall 2012 1 CHRISTIAN DIOR Under the guiding hand of Raf Simons the house of Dior stunned. Merging Raf’s pingent for minimalism with Dior’s glamour and femininity the fall 2012 collection did not disappoint. Refreshing, elegant and ever so Raf, leaving the drama and theatrics to former ousted creative director John Galliano. The Dior showing was quaint and intimate, never straying from the core of the Dior woman. A woman of plight sensitivity yet strength and confidence. Raf has officially brought about a new era to match the ever so iconic ‘new look’, here’s to many more years of innovation and succes at the house of Dior.

Giambattista Valli

2

Beauty in every definition of the word. Valli showed a truly stunning collection that could not be any further from his ready-to-wear line. With more elegant and feminine silhouetting tailored for the well-read woman Valli’s couture hand is firm and yet soft and ladylike. Print heavy as usual the collection was a shinning light during the couture season. Poised to make any woman feel as though she’s in a fairytale fantasy world, in which Valli is king.

3 GIVENCHY

I think anyone who has come in contact with a Givenchy piece since 07’, when Tisci took the reigns can agree that he has definitely found his stride. The designer who has brought the Parisian house firmly into the 21st century is on a trajectory straight for the top. With intricate beading, fringes, capes, and furs Tisci has taken a whole new direction from his previous collections of beautifully crafter sheer and featured gowns going for a darker, slightly Native American appeal. If Pocahontas was alive today she’d be riding her horse in every piece of this stunning collection.

ARMANI Prive

4

Playing out like a night at the opera Armani did what Armani does best, clean sophisticated and elegant silhouettes. Showing why the house manages to stay strong on the couture path while so many others have withered away. Showcasing beautiful velvets, matt jersey’s, and an elegant watercolor outerspace like print, which brought a very welcomed change to the dark overtones throughout the scope of the collection. While being one of the oldest couturiers still existing, you’d never notice with showings such as these.

5

ALEXIS MABilLE

Always a highlight of Couture Fashion Week, Mabille brought power, elegance, and utter fire to the runway. From the hair, to the styling, to the make-up, the show brought it all. Daring every woman to be strong and almost matador like. Body hugging fishtail gowns, loosely tailored men’s suiting and enough tulle to make any ballerina green with envy. Sticking to the age old couture favorite of black, as to allow the impeccable detailing of lace and beading do all the heavy lifting.

This uneasiness inside me. Feels as If, smoke coiling around my wrists, my neck, binding me. Suffocating my every emotion. The pain of betrayal so intense in these big brown eyes. Every glance his way pains me, suffocating my very existence. The inability to think about anything but his every word spoken to me. Words that drive needles full of pain into the love I have for him. Ever so consuming my time. Suffocating my day. The feelings that go right through me when I’m with him, as if I can’t grasp and hold on to them as they pass through me. His sad eyes trying to read me. Everything’s different. Changed. Our familiar transactions transformed into something that has such complexity. It suffocates me. Laughing in my face. How do these two souls escape the suffocation that was created overnight. Where did he go?

q&a: ANNEX: When did you know acting was for you? BP: I guess when I was seven or eight. I got the lead part in a few school plays and was hooked. We watched a lot of TV & movies growing up and I always knew that’s what I wanted to do. ANNEX: In between supporting roles in Dawson’s Creek to a leading role in Cougar Town what was the scariest thing you’ve had to experience in your line of work? BP: Scariest? I don’t know. I mean, it’s always a little scary to start a new job, there’s the uncertainty of what it’s going to be like and how you’re going to fit in. It’s scary to put yourself out there and there’s always a fear of rejection in this industry. But literally? The scariest thing I’ve had to do was the zip-lining over the cul-de-sac last season for Cougar Town. ANNEX: As a leading role in Cougar town you play Laurie Keller who’s known for her wild lifestyle and being an absolute hoot, how are you different from your character? BP: Well, I would LIKE to think I’m an absolute hoot but as far as a wild lifestyle, that pretty much was over when I got married and had a child. I mean, we like to have fun, don’t get me wrong. But there aren’t any, you know, walks of shame happening anymore. (Not that there ever really were BEFORE I got married, honestly...) ANNEX: How do you deal with paparazzi? BP: I try to deal with them like they are a part of my job. Thankfully, they’re fairly respectful and I’ve only had a few issues. But you know it’s hard when I’m out with my kid and I see them. It just makes me feel like i can’t relax and I have to be aware of how I’m standing or what kind of face I’m making. So that’s a bummer. Especially if we’re out trying to enjoy a Saturday as a family or something...

ANNEX: How has having a child and being married affected your career? BP: It hasn’t affected my career, but it’s not easy to be a working mom and wife, whatever you do. There’s a lot of guilt about not spending enough time with my daughter or not spending enough time with my husband. I have to make sure I really prioritize when I’m working. Which means I need to say no to things that are not imperative... ANNEX: Are you encouraging Birdie to pursue a career in the show business? BP: Yes. We talk about it every day. NO! I mean, she’s not even four yet! Who knows what she’s going to be interested in. I will encourage her to follow her dreams, whatever they may be... ANNEX: If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be? BP: I would have liked to have met my mom’s dad, my grandfather, who died long before I was born. He seemed like an amazing man and it would have been nice to be able to talk to him... ANNEX: Can we expect any new projects from you outside of Cougar Town? BP: I recently wrapped a film called “A Case of You” with Evan Rachel Wood and Justin Long. I imagine that it will make the festival circuits in the fall and winter.

electric dai isabella pineda Let me start off by saying that EDC was worth every penny and is truly a life changing experience. My name is Isabella Pineda, you’re about to come on a journey with me to a Place you wish you had gone to EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival), Las Vegas. EDC; a 3 day musical festival that brings world famous DJ’s, carnival rides, amazing art work, and an audience from all around the world. Once in Vegas we checked into our room and hit the strip. Everywhere we looked we saw EDC banners, posters, signs, and billboards. I started the next morning with my friends and the Excalibur Buffet for breakfast. While everyone was chilling, drinking and socializing in the pool, I went sun bathing, like any true LA girl would. As much as we all wanted to stay at the pool it was time to start getting ready for the first night of EDC. Now to be honest, the first night of EDC was all a blur to me going hard from the minute doors opened at 7:00 pm till they closed at 5:30 am. EDC day 2 was another story! Everyone was clearly exhausted from the first night. EDC day two traffic was still a nightmare. After finally getting passed the line, once inside I just felt the music entering my body so all I could do was dance. I spent the night dancing around to Armin Van Buuren and riding rides, until the fun was cut short due to high winds and danger of the stages falling down. Everyone was sent to the bleachers and grass until winds died down, which has never happened in the history of EDC, it was one for the books. For the last day of EDC never have I seen so many people with glow sticks, honking, and wearing the brightest of clothing/costumes all in route to the same place, I wanted to go out with a bang! So immediately arrive I began to party. You could feel the good vibes in the air and everyone was just there to have fun. The highlight perfomance of the night was David Guetta. Once the sun rose we knew the Las Vegas Electric Daisy Carnival 2012 was coming to an end.. We headed back to our cars and drove back to our hotel rooms. After attempting to recover from a wild weekend I bounced right back to spend the last day in Vegas shopping. I packed my bags and headed home, Los Angeles bound. ‘Till next year EDC!

sy carnival britini scott This was my second time going to EDC and I had been waiting for this weekend since the minute the last Electric Daisy Carnival ended. When I arrived on Thrusday, I was able to upgrade from a room at Circus Circus to a view room at the Cosmopolitan. After sleeping in, I began to get ready for EDC night one. One of the best parts of EDC is the costumes and dressing up. This year EDC decided to address the creativity of the costumes by holding a costume contest! I left for EDC around 8:30pm, and got in around 10:00pm. I saw DJ’s like Afrojack, Datsik and Kaskade. I left around 3:30am and went back to the Cosmo for some Bloody Marys. Around 7:00am I went to sleep in order to be ready for night two. I woke up around 2:00 pm and went to get food and large margaritas to cure the hangovers. I got to EDC by 8:00 pm for day two and was on my way to see Rusko, Borgore and Zeds Dead. The night was going perfect and our group of about 11 was keeping together. Around 1:30am a girl shouted, “IT’S OVER! IT’S OVER!” Not paying any attention to it we continued to go back to the group but as we turned the corner it was within seconds that all of the lights in the entire raceway were turned on and every stage and ride was turned off. We couldn’t believe our eyes. We passed by a police officer and asked for any information on why; he told us a 30mph wind came through and a piece of the stage fell into the crowd. For liability reasons, Insomniacs shut down EDC. As we headed for the exit, thousands of people waited in the stands for EDC to start up again. It was EDC mayhem! The next day I did not wake up until around 3:00 pm, but I had to make it out for at least one pool party. Avicii was playing at the Cosmo, so I was at the right place. After getting a little sun and a drink, I headed back to the room to get ready for my last night of EDC. I went down around 7:00 pm again in order to attempt to miss the traffic, but Sunday was by far the biggest day so I was still stuck for about an hour and a half. Insomniacs also allowed all Saturday ticket holders to come to Sunday’s event, which meant even more people. When I finally got in around 9:30pm, I got to see DJ’s like Major Lazer, Oliver Twizt, Dirtyphonics, Pretty Lights and I ended my night with some good ole’ Cookie Monsta. I left around 5:00 am, the latest of all three days because this was a night to remember. I met up with old friends, made new ones, danced until I couldn’t walk and sang until I no longer had a voice. Until next year...

the alex feelings q&a: W

ithin the cut throat LA music scene there are easily hundreds of bands, but there is one that stands above the rest. Yellow Alex and the feelings fuse Motown bass lines, psychedelic guitars, and ambient texture to create a sound all their own. Comprising of; lead vocalist and guitar Alexander Gedeon, bassist David Goodwin, Kim Haden with the synths and background vocals, Brit Laurén and Brandon Scott on vocals and percussion, an drummer Evan Greer. Packed with high energy and positive progessive vibes and feelings show is something to watch. Annex: So, what do you want people take away from your music?

Alex: I want people to know that we’re making a genuinely positive contribution to the LA music scene. And that we are creating something that is coming from a heartfelt place, that is inclusive and that is celebratory, and organic. I feel like what this is something that has been cooking very slowly. You know what I mean? If it’s going well and you’re enjoying cooking it, it’s like when you’re cooking collard greens or whatever. It’s super savory.

Annex: And how did the band get together?

Alex: Everyone is a native of Los Angeles. A couple of people I’ve known fsince high school, but we weren’t friends. We all went to NYU together, so we knew each other there. Now we’re all back here in LA 5 years later.

Annex: So you just came back… Alex: Five years ago?

Annex: Yes, but after growing up here.

Alex: Yeah. I went, I grew up here, I went to NYU, played in a band, left that band. And then really, my old band had a deal, a record deal, and all of that stuff, but it just didn’t work out. I was really disillusioned after that, and didn’t really want to play music, you know? You get scared. Um, and then I just really had a deep feeling like I wanted to create, there are certain experiences that I still wanted to fill [with life]. And one of them was the experience of complete surrender in front of an audience and what it feels like. It feels like you just pulled the plug out of the bottom of a bathtub. and have everybody just think

Annex: How would you describe your creative process?

Alex: Yeah. This is just; my philosophy is to just do creatively what is completely obvious. Like not reaching at all, just doing what feels organic. The choreography feels natural to me, and it feels organic to play this kind of music. And I love disco. It’s not a reach. It’s not about…it’s really expressing yourself; and trying to create a nucleus for other people to express themselves, having an environment where they can feel comfortable and you know, enjoy what they do. And being a part of something

Annex: So, do you normally write all of the songs yourself?

Alex: Yeah, basically. Dave and I, the base player, we’ll work on them, we’ll do them together. But right now the lyrics and stuff are from me.

Annex: Where did the “Yellow” in Yellow Alex and the Feelings come from?

Alex: The yellow? Are you familiar with the term “high yellow?” Well that’s what it is.

Annex: If you weren’t doing music, what would you be doing?

Alex: If I weren’t doing music, I would be acting in classical theater like Shakespeare.

Annex: So, what can we expect to see from Yellow Alex and the Feelings in the future?

Alex: The goal is just to be released. We just got here. The single is just out. We’re just putting them in local stores and stuff like that. Next thing that we’re going to be doing is targeting the West Coast and hopefully be on the road within six months.

Annex: So you want to start touring?

Alex: Oh yeah. Touring the world. I want to be doing this [expressing the venue in which the interview is taking place] but even tighter. And everybody has a bigger part in it and we go to Paris and with beautiful chandeliers with everything totally realized.

Annex: We’re excited! Alex: Thank you.

thank you: I think we’ve probably thought of this moment for about 6 years now, from the first time that we realized together we made magic. From that moment we knew we’d do great things together. Getting to this point was no easy task and there are people who made that task easier, and some who made that task harder and we thank you all. A true stepping-stone each moment has truly been… So thank you, from the bottom of our fashion loving hearts. First to our God, the Universe, Allah, whatever in which one calls their center for bestowing upon us the blessings of creativity, perseverance and motivation. To our two lovely and encouraging mothers Reba and Phyllis, you raised us the best you knew how and we are grateful for that and all we can do is hope we make you as proud of us as we are of you and know that your sacrifices over the years were not in vein – and maybe just maybe Phyllis will stop calling for just one day-. Also to our siblings Daisy, Joe, Darielle, Neani, and Steven while we’ve had our ups and downs, our tiffs and tats we’ve always had love. To Aunt Diane and Grandma Mary for fostering a loving and nurturing value-based lifestyle, you’re intentions were always the best. To all our cousin’s and aunts and uncles and friends thank you for being apart of our journey. To our Pastors and spiritual leaders for teaching us love and acceptance. To Allan Troy Sr. for showing us that flower’s truly grown from dirt. To every single person that has ever come through our lives in some small part each and everyone of you helped us get to exactly where we are now. Annex is dedicated to everyone who told us we’d do great things, and to those who said we wouldn’t. Sincerely, AllanTroy Watson + Ashley Rae Garcia xx…
