Alfa romeo 4c concept -
The new italian d This “radiant” car is fruit of the brand’s experience with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and the 8C Spider (with which it shares its rear wheel drive), the 4C represents the essence a of true sports soul in accordance with the brand’s values: performance, Italian style and technical excellence for maximum driving pleasure in complete safety. The concept presents the classic formula of the two-seater, rear-wheel drive coupé with its central engine,
a length of approximately 4 metres and a wheelbase of less than 2.4 metres. These dimensions (and a weight under 850 kg.) on one hand emphasise the car’s compact attributes while also accentuating its agility on the other. Carbon fibre is the main element around which every performance parameter was defined: the chassis tub in particular, is entirely made of carbon fibre with room for both the driver and passenger, while the rear
dream structure of the chassis and the crash box are made of aluminum. Result: an excellent agility with a weight/ power ratio less than 4 kg/hp. The prototype, equipped with the powerful “4 cilindri” 1750cc with over 200 hp together with the new Alfa TCT, the latest generation double clutch automatic transmission, is capable of reaching a maximum speed of over 250 km/h and to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds.
