We specialize in the latest techniques using “rolled fondant”, which gives you the smooth porcelain like finish so popular today. We also use fresh flowers to accent and embelish your cake. atty has spent the last 30 years traveling across the United States and Canada to learn the best techniques used to create classic style masterpieces. She continues her travels year after year to ensure her customers have access to the latest trends and designs. Patty has hosted classes for designers from as far away as South America (Brazil) and the Middle East (Kuwait). Clases are held at our Sandy, Utah location. We are happy to recommend hotels nearby, and to provide transportation to and from class each day.Each of these classes include intense step-by-step workshops where Patty demonstrates the techniques while working side-by-side with the students to ensure they come away ready to use the techniques for their special events. Each class is an intimate and semi-private event; Patty limits the classes to no more than 5 students. “Your Class Your Way…” Patty has years of experience traveling to teach the Art of Cake Design. Host a class with Patty as the instructor at your location! Each student or group must submit 50% of the tuition as a Non-Refundable Deposit at the time of registration. This will guarantee your seat as one of only a handful of designers Patty teaches each year. Balance of tuition is due two weeks prior to class.
Classes Fondant Made Easy & Topsy Turvy Combined Bonus Class November 10 - 11, 2014 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuition: $350.00
In this class you will learn to make delicious fondant and white chocolate clay. You will be taught the essentials needed to overlay a frosted cake with fondant, assemble multiple layers with cake support systems, beautifully decorate, and safely transport a 3 tier wedding cake. You will gain hands-on experience while learning directly from Patty as she teaches you her techniques step-by-step. ie quilting, dots, embroidery, vines, stripes, simple flowers, lace, borders etc. Students will create a 3 tier project using the tricks and techniques taught during the class. Students will also receive DVD’s “Making Fabulous Fondant” & “Gum Paste & Chocolate Modeling Clay” . Bonus: Topsy Turvy will also be covered in this class & include free DVD Students will need some cake decorating experience. Arrive at 9:30-9:45 am. Class begins at 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm. All equipment is provided. Just bring an apron and a smile for a great time. You will love this rewarding and creative experience! Lunch will be provided.
Fondant Made Easy & Cricut Cake March 3 - 5, 2015 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuition: $475.00 (Savings of $50.00)
This class will be a combination of Patty’s Fondant Made Easy Class AND Cricut Cake. During the first two days, Patty will teach you how easy it is to make delicious fondant and chocolate modeling clay, and how to cover a real cake or styrofoam dummies. Basic decorating techniques such as dots, quilting, embroidery designs,vines, stripes, diamonds, various borders, lace, simple flowers will be taught. Each student will complete a 3 tier project (styrofoam dummies), and receive the DVD’s “Making Fabulous Fondant” and “Gum Paste & Chocolate Modeling Clay”. The third day will be devoted to “Using Cricut Cake”. First a demo on making gumpaste for use with the Cricut. Hands-on experience using proper methods for rolling out the gum paste and applying to the cutting mats. Next, how to cut intricate designs and apply to your finished cake. Bring your own Cricut Cake machine (or you may share with one of ours.) Each student will complete a 2 tier project, and receive two DVD’s “Simple Designs Using Cricut Cake” & “Advanced Designs Using Cricut Cake and Design Studio”. Arrive at 9:30-9:45 am. Class begins at 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm. All equipment is provided. Just bring an apron and a smile (and your Cricut Cake if possible) for a great time. You will love this rewarding and creative experience! Lunch will be provided.
