Ann Maree
Horse racing aficianado. Love of horses began as a youngster in Mississippi, where growing up and spending much time riding anything that moved. As a senior in high school, wrote a paper called "The Sport of Kings" as a class assignment. With relatives with box seats at Churchill Downs in KY, was afforded rich experiences attending the races of Genuine Risk (1980) and Pleasant Colony (1981). Re-ignited love of the sport in 2009 with the discovery of Zenyatta, and have been hooked ever since. Believe in concept of "Clean Horse Racing" and ridding the sport of raceday medications, including Lasix, which I feel has contributed to the weakening of the Thoroughbred runner.
