VALEO BRANDING
PREVIOUS BRAND
Previous brand Valeo is an auto parts manufacturing company that emphasizes the implementation of sustainable, forward thinking technology in their products. Valeo’s previous branding did not connote the appropriate modern vision that they strive for. Their goal is to be seen as cutting edge. Their materials felt dated; many were difficult to understand and navigate. The goal of Valeo’s new branding was to visually move them forward into the 21st century as a leading auto parts manufacturer.
VALEO VALEO
New logo Valeo’s logo needed to connote power. The wordmark is lowercase but extra bold to visually stand out from competitors but still appear strong within its sector. The emblem symbolizes forward motion, and it is attached to the word ‘Valeo’ to tie the two visuals together. The green color was kept to secure brand equity and emphasize their sustainability efforts, but it was brightened and combined with a dark grey to connote power and strength.
VALEO
Brand standards manual
Website Valeo’s new website is as clear and minimal as possible. Some of the information was simplified to avoid confusion and repetition. The minimalism not only emphasizes hierarchy, but it also helps visually secure Valeo as a modern company.
Valeo App The Valeo app allows customers to power their vehicle, virtually find it, lock and unlock it, and access service tutorials when needed.
be intimidated no more
The new Valeo 360Vue® 3D system gives not only full visibility around the vehicle,
but also a 3-dimensional view of the vehicle’s environment. The driver can perform
maneuvers or leave a parking space safely, with excellent visibility of all obstacles and
the capacity to see all blind spots. Intimidated by parallel parking? Not any more.
Advertisements Valeo has three new advertising campaigns. “Be Intimidated No More” and “Multitasking Pro” campaigns use different approaches to highlight Valeo’s automatic driving system. The “All of This Working For You” campaign emphasizes all of the small details and parts that go into making a working system for each customer.
all of this working for you Valeo makes sure to use the best and latest technology in their products. Valeo works particularly closely with a limited number of suppliers, chosen from among the best in the world. They do all of this so you can be confident in your ride.
Wayfinding
STEELGARDEN PRODUCT & BRANDING
Place of Inspiration The initial inspiration for succulent containers stems from a bar in London called the Sky Garden that held an abundance of plants within a steel grid interior. The contrast of the metal grid and delicate plants was visually emulated with the succulent containers.
Products Carbon steel containers with clear acrylic inserts were created to hold succulents. The unique patterns cut out of the conainers were inspired by London iconography. A conceptual store brand was also created that would sell these products.
Stationery system The store name for the succuelnt containers is called Steelgarden. It is a store that sells small plants for primarily young metropolitan people who might not have large space for gardens. The pattens on the containers are reminiscent of highly traveled places, so they can provide a sense of nostalgia for travelers.

PACKAGING PROCESS JOURNAL
My Packaging class was full of sprint projects as well as long term projects. My Packaging process journal includes notes of all that we learned in class, along with photos of my progress work and completed projects.
LONDON ANIMATIONS
Tower Bridge A boat illustration was animated to move under Tower Bridge while it raised. A tube illustration was added running across the bottom because part of the Underground system operates underneath the River Thames.
Neal’s Yard Neal’s Yard is a bright, eclectic area hidden in the middle of Covent Garden. This animation takes people through the preceding alleyway to allow them to ‘discover’ one of the hidden gems of London. The plants and other small items move as well when zoomed in.
The plants and spinning wheels rotate in the animation.
LOUISVILLE CLIMATE ACTION NETWORK BRANDING
Brand Standards Manual My design class rebranded the local organization Louisville Climate Action Network (LCAN). We created a system that is fun, engaging, and powerful with lots of colors and personal photography. My role in this project was organizing the content and structure of the overall brand and the brand standards manual.
Along with organization branding, LCAN requested that we help brand their new education space. We decided the name would be “EcoDepot”, and we brought over some of the LCAN brand attributes to EcoDepot’s brand to display continuity.
