SIMULTANEITY OF THE BUILDING AND THE CONTENT.


There is an art work of some silver people who construct a building. This will make visitors expect what kind of space will be experienced next. The expecta4on will probably be around industrial or abstract theme, and more 3D artworks.

TEASER


We found rela4ons between what we experienced outside (which is the artwork), with what’s inside the building. The rela4on can be seen from the exposed ceiling. Which contains, the red pipes which were the majority of the artwork.


The theme in the paid exhibi4on is more suitable than the free exhibi4on. The pain4ngs from the free exhibi4on looks placeless. The genre of the pain4ng is mostly impressionism with realis4c and natural touch, while the building’s theme is HOWEVER, THE PAID EXHIBITION, LOOKS MORE IN more of an industrial and modern. PLACE. WITH THE BLACK BACKGROUND, THE PACKAGING OF THE PAINTINGS, AND THE PAINTING ITSELF. WE CAN’T SEE IT CLEARLY, BUT JUST FROM THE ENTRANCE, THE SIMULTANEITY BETWEEN THE BUILDING AND THE THEME IS MORE PERCEPTIBLE.

THE BUILDING’S INDUSTRIAL TYPE IS SUPPORTED BY AN EXPOSED CEILING AND EXPOSED MATERIAL OF THE FLOOR. WHILE THE PACKAGING OF THE PAINTINGS ARE MOSTLY WITH FURNISHED AND GOLD COLORED FRAMES.


IMMERSION AND SIMULTANEITY OF THE CONTENT.


THE PACKAGING OF THE WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS ARE MEANT TO EXPOSE THE COLOR AND CREATE A CLEAR OUTLINE OF EACH COLORS. BUT ONLY IF SEEN FROM AFAR.

WATERCOLOR

The watercolor pain4ngs use glass and clean frame, to add more value of the pain4ng, besides to maintain the quality. When the pain4ngs are seen from afar, the outline can be seen clearly, yet when we step closer the elements of the pain4ng are more blurry. The oil pain4ngs use more textured frame with no glass, so the texture of the pain4ng will a]ract visitors to look more closely or to even touch it.

THE PACKAGING OF THE OIL PAINTINGS ARE MEANT TO SHOW THE INTERESTING TEXTURE CREATED BY OIL PAINT.

THE COLORS OF THE LIGHT ARE SET TO PROVIDE THE AMBIENCE THAT IS PRESENT ON THE PAINTING. There are three types of light. Green, yellow, and orange. The green color is for cold atmosphere while the yellow and orange is giving out warm feeling. The ligh4ng itself is to immerse the feeling that was meant to conveyed by the pain4ng.

ENTRANCE

The first floor, more or less, containing mostly an image, a trigger, for the visitors to expect what’s gonna be shown next. The visitors were free to decide which storyline they would like to check out first. The op4ons are shown clearly on the way in and from the middle of the lobby. There are such as pain4ngs on the le` corner, right corner, or the upstairs access just directly across the hall.


This is the entrance of the paid exhibi4on. THE ENTRANCE IS THE ARC OF TENSION OF WHAT WILL THE VISITORS BE EXPERIENCING NEXT. The arc of tension is surely very a]rac4ve. Its rela4on with the building’s theme, makes it even more interes4ng.

THE RELATION WITH THE BUILDING’S THEME, AND THE BIG DIFFERENCE OF AMBIENCE WITH THE FREE EXHIBITION, SUCCESSFULLY TRIGGERS THE CURIOSITY OF THE VISITORS.

The visitors are le` to imagine what’s going to be experienced next inside the paid exhibi4on. In this paid exhibi4on, we can see the more successful way of the use of the arc of tension, instead of in the free exhibi4on.
