Performance
Wayang kulit is a traditional form of puppet shadow play that first appeared in the cultures of Java, Bali, and Lombok in Indonesia. In the Wayang kulit performance, the puppet figures are rear-projected on a taut linen screen with coconut oil (or electric) lamps. Da Lang (shadow artist) manipulates the carved leather figure between the lamp and the screen to bring the shadows to life. The narrative of wayang kulit is usually related to the themes of good vs evil.
Painting the wayang kulit
The dhalang tells the stories of kings, princesses, ogres, and knights, using deft hand movement and narration. While traditional performances used cotton sheets and oil lamps to create the play of light, electric bulbs or other sources of light are used today. Wayang kulit combines deep spiritual meaning, entertaining storytelling, extraordinary musicality (both in the gamelan and vocals), deep philosophical messages, current political commentary, and bawdy humor. It is one of the most complete art forms, with everything in the hands of the dhalang. A good dhalang is indeed a celebrity who commands a high fee and can perform in front of audiences as large as 6 or 7,000 people.

Its total builtup size is 2998m².The meaning of "mountain and sea" originates from its location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, abruptly on the mountain, and from its location at the northern end of Dianchi Lake, with excellent landscape resources, and the city, water, and mountains are all included in the sight as the diagram below. The strong site characteristics also create a special art space.

Stainless steel with finished installed on the walkable roof at the first floor to allow the visitor to walk through which surrounded water surface side by side. Roof top was made by concrete slab and creating the few rises on the sky platform of the building.
Case Studies Design Concept
"Standing on the mountain, it feels as if the whole mountain is filled; looking at the sea, I imagine it like a surging river. Located at the junction of mountain and sea, the staggered stone forest is the prerequisite to trigger the design, and it is also the spatial continuity that the conceptual deepening wants to present. With the support of the builders, the building dances with the site according to the context of the site, blending with the mountains and the sea. From the sectional perspective, obviously showing how the building stand and merge with the site itself.

Acoustic
The view are mostly block in West, highway’s view in the North and nature with river view (good view) in East to South.
The arrow of water body showing the direction of river flow and the width is showing the depth of the river, the wider the river, the shallow the depth.
The sun path diagram showing less shadow casting toward the site proposed because the building and trees surrounded are short.
The yellow waves showing the high pitch and loudness from the highway and the commercial area. There are many noise come from the highway because of vehicles but less noise the commercial area.
Design Development
Carve Out There are one-way to acces the car parking area. Dotted arrow is represent the circulation of visitor drop-off. Carve out the massing to form a turnel for loading entrance.
Lift and Carve Life up the east roofing and carve into the massing to form the opening space which to fully utilize the site condition. To allow the wind enter from the river site. The visitor may enjoy the river view from the 1st floor.
Connect and Slice To connect those massing to join each space on the 1st floor which allow the visitor walkthrough the opening corridor to enjoy the nature river view. Slice off the roofing to create the glass roofing to harvest maximum of natural lighting during the daytime.
