Job Readiness Training Opportunity: Turbine Service Technician Do you have knowledge of maintenance and electrical equipment for machinery? Are you willing to participate in on the job training to enhance your existing skills? Are you interested in on-site maintenance on wind turbine equipment? If you have any of the following interests, this is an opportunity for you! Tasks and Responsibilities: Perform on-site maintenance on wind turbine equipment in accordance with operations and maintenance manuals and training; Perform basic troubleshooting of wind turbines; Perform functional testing and analysis of electrical circuits; Perform mechanical and electrical component repair or replacements of parts; Collect turbine data for research or analysis; Complete reports and paperwork as required; Effectively and concisely communicate with other departments and explain findings; Follow safety regulations and work procedures; Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Valid drivers license; Ability to travel both domestically and internationally; (Have valid passport) Experience working in maintenance and operation aspects of forestry, automotive, or industrial industry. Capacity to work around low to medium voltage (< 600 volts) Skills and Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Self- Motivated; Ability to work safely both independently and as a team with minimal supervision; Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, diagnostic tools and equipment; Ability to read schematics Able to work overtime, holidays, weekends on short notice with ability to meet strict deadlines; Essential Physical Abilities: Ability to climb 200+ foot wind towers on a daily basis and work in confined spaces as well as under all types of weather conditions for extended periods; Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
