Form, Space, Materiality, and Performance of Light Critic: Kentaro Tsubaki
This project examined the complexed interaction between tectonics and light. Using Alvar Aalto’s Villa Mairea as a case study to explore design tectonics. Breaking down the design to its basic features to understand the complexity of its concept. Finally casting the basic architectural concept to explore light and tectonics.

Re-translation of the Miller House and Gardens Critic: Andrew Liles
Miller House and Garden | Eero Saarinen and Dan Kiley | 1957 | Columbus, Indiana
The project consisted of an extensive analysis of the Miller House and Garden, which concluded with several analytical diagrams focusing on primary views, paths, and geometry. Using these analytical diagrams as a base for the design of a visitor center on site.

Museum of the City: New Orleans Critic: Tom Holloman

The project consisted of designing a museum of the city of New Orleans. The program consisted of a Wall of Books, Lights, Surveyor, and the City. Each wall contained an aspect of the program, including circulation, storage, and exhibition. The concept of the design is based on regulating lines found through research of Marigny.

Rhino as both an artistic and architectural tool to represent architectonic forms. This assignment asked for the manipulation of a cube into 21 forms. Concluding with an architectonic form that was manipulated using various Rhino commands.
