Cordier Auctions Bats .300 With Sports And Comics Auctions 1955 Topps Roberto Clemente Rookie Card Brought $3,360 Cordier Auctions in Harrisburg, Pa., kicked off the second quarter of 2022 with two collector-friendly auctions that met with enthusiastic bidders. On April 3, a Sports Card and Memorabilia Auction featured a Roberto Clemente collection and vintage sets. On April 10, a single consignor Comic Book Auction offered an extensive collection covering all genres, eras, and publishers. The Sports Card and Memorabilia Auction hit the ground running with a 2000 Chrome Tom Brady Rookie card #236 with a PSA grade of 9. A lucky bidder scored the card for $4,800. Complete vintage sets graded excellent or better drew crowds, with a 1970 Topps set bringing $3,960 and a 1971 Topps set selling for $2,280. The highlight of the Roberto Clemente collection was a

Fishersville Antiques Expo, From Spring Recovery To Fall Record Two-Day Show Set For May 20 And 21 After a show-less 2020, Heritage Promotions optimistically but cautiously held the 2021 spring edition of the Fishersville Antiques Expo. It was, by all measures, a successful recovery. After a short breather, and capitalizing on the success of that spring show, Ray and Martha Stokes and daughter Lesley began planning for the fall show. Not to be deterred, their perseverance and enthusiasm kept everything moving torward the 67th show in October. Ray and Martha donned their recruiting hats and hit the road, visiting shows all along the Eastern seaboard, looking for new and exciting dealers with unique and interesting merchandise. They got loyal dealers to return, signed on experienced antiques dealers that had never been to Fishersville, and even discovered some first-time dealers just entering the field. The dealer contracts came from Maine to as far west as Arizona. And the rest is history. While the total number of dealers was still down from peak numbers, the quality and enthusiasm never wavered. Burlington Emporium Antiques Show Slated For May 22 The Historic Burlington Antique and Art Emporium’s Spring Antique Show and Garden Market will take place Sunday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Spring Show was last held in 2019. Besides the show, shoppers will find complimentary food and music and have an opportunity to meet the Emporium dealers. Twenty-plus antique dealers will set up in front of the Emporium and in the adjacent parking lot. The show is free of charge to the public. On a first visit to the Emporium, shoppers’ eyes tend to travel upward toward the very high ceiling, and many ask, “What was this building built for?” Built by Edward
