show moved to the Heritage Community Center in Berlin. The dealers and customers of the show enjoy the charm of the small town along with local restaurants, hotels, and shops. The show was originally established as a craft show with just a few booths of antiques. Over the years, it has transformed into a quality early country antiques show with a few selected handcrafted and artisan booths. It has more than 50 dealers representing 15 states. Dealers Rick Fuller, Matt Ehresman, Connie Gleed, Jamie Brunt, and many others bring trailer loads of country furniture. For good smalls, Jeanne Kauffmann, Jacque Bradford, Harry Hall, Tina Black, and Sue Beahm, to name a few, specialize in small antiques. For those looking for New England antiques? Try the Casuccis, the Mayhews and the Petersons. They bring pieces from Massachusetts. Mike Christy will have a booth full of quality folk art. For shoppers looking for the old log cabin look, stop to see Cheryl Jones and Diane Windle. Amy Eshelman and Sue Lindsey will have one-of-a-kind artisan goods and seasonal items. Jill Peterson will have her primitive clothing and accessories at the show, and tinsmith Joe Merle will have his handcrafted tin lighting. Lynne Oppenheimer will be at the show with her jewelry line along with early antiques. The Simple Goods dealers are friendly and love to talk with customers about their wares. There are two Simple Goods shows a year, the fourth Saturday in April and the first Saturday in November. The April show always has unusual topiaries and plants for sale. Some of the dealers bring garden antiques to the spring show as well. At the November show, there will be greenery decorating the booths along with fall seasonal items for sale. The walled-booths are set up in room-like settings. The dealers take pride in decorating their booths for the shows. Exclusively Yours Catering will have the Simple Goods cafe open during the show. They will have their famous fish and chicken available along with many other offerings. There is a dining area inside the show to sit, eat and take a break from shopping. Make sure to sign up in the lobby for a prize drawing. Join the show’s mailing list and email list for updates. For additional information, call Christina Hummel at 570-651-5681. Continued on page 7

Having dug its roots deeply into the Southern Tier of New York for support and sponsorships, as well as the antiquing community, the embers of this fundraising event have been rekindled.
