Results Shared From Gilbert & Gilbert Sale A large auction was conducted on Dec. 12 by Gilbert & Gilbert Auctioneers in Wrightsville, Pa., on behalf of the Barry D. Markley estate. The real estate consisted of a two bedroom house with garage/pole building on 1.4 acres, which sold for $140,000. Several of the items sold included a 1933 Ford with original motor for $34,000; a 1974 Corvette Stingray, $15,000; a
1962 Chevy Impala SS, $12,000; a 1962 Corvette project car, $27,000; a 1973 VW Beetle, $1200; a Kubota Tractor with loader, $7,200; a John Deere 318 riding mower, $1,000; and a Snapper snowblower for $600. An antique powder horn sold for $2,000; a toy pedal car, $190; and a wind-up toy mouse sold for $125. Other material sold included old car parts, various antiques, furniture, cast iron items, tools, and machinery. The variety of items attracted buyers from several states.
