Black River Antiques Show: The Gem Of Ludlow Vermont Antiques Week Deemed A Success

By Karl Pass The rebranded and rejuvenated Black River Antiques Show in Ludlow, Vt., took place Sept. 28 and 29. Part of Vermont Antiques Week, the Black River show is now run by Steve Sherhag and Kris Johnson. V e r m o n t Antiques Week consists of five shows primarily in the central part of the state and takes place every year during the first weekend of October. Sherhag and Johnson also manage and promote the Okemo and Picker’s Market shows. The Ludlow Community Center hosts the Black River show. Situated next to a high school on the south end of the small ski industry town, 32 dealers set up for the twoday event. The Bucks County Antiques Dealers Association (BCADA) will proudly present its 72nd annual Antiques Show on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10 and 11. The event will be held at the Eagle Fire Hall on Route 202 and Sugan Road in New Hope, Pa. The show times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m on Sunday. Admission is $6, or $5 with show card or ad. Children age 16 and under will enter free of charge, and plenty of free parking will be available. Since 1966, BCADA exhibitors have represented Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The show is now the largest held in Bucks County, and among the finest in the Delaware Valley.
