D’Amore Promotions will host its 750-booth D.C. Big Flea and Antiques Market at the Dulles Expo on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 6 and 7. This show will mark its 20th anniversary in the Washington, D.C., suburbs at this location, with every show a soldout event. In an interview this week, Joan Sides recalled how she took on the risk of high expenses, including rental and promotion for this show, to create the new venue for dealers that offers her trademark low rents and great attractions for the public so that they both would succeed. Her efforts were rewarded with

a soldout show, all the spaces filled with great merchandise, and crowds of patrons. Sides was overjoyed, and the dealers were thrilled with their results, so much so that they have remained faithful to the brand for the past 20 years in an ever-changing marketplace. The upcoming Jan. 6 and 7 show is again sold out, 750 booths strong. Admission costs only $10 for a twoday admission. Shoppers can expect to find a great selection of antiques and art, home décor, and collectibles. The Dulles Expo Center is located at 4320 Chantilly Shopping Continued on page 3
