A designer is not just a person who moves a mouse; he lives in his profession, creating order out of chaos.
He owns intelligence and creates mood. Good designer does it with his work; bad designer needs a good lash whip.

Branding & identity

My first branding attempt was to create a brand for myself. After gathering information from surveys completed by people who know me and information on how people perceive me I concluded that my
‘shape’ would be that of a cactus. However, the ‘cactus man’ already exists as the main identity for the Oasis Drinks Company I needed to find another prickly object; therefore I chose the chestnut identity. The
surveys also proved that from the outside I was interesting and green, the color of calm, but upon contact I was replant. For this chestnut project I had to create a narrative, who was the chestnut and what
was it made for? I then created the Brand Book for the project and it was, in essence, the manual for the chestnut identity, the rules and how to apply the branding, the ideal method to consume the chestnuts
and which were the best wines to drink while eating the chestnut that would chance and compliment the identity as a meal.

For this project we were required to chose an existing brand, in this case Durex, and create a brand extension for it. The extension was a range of hygienic cleansing wipes, intended for the intimate areas for use
before and after sex. This project consisted of a group of 5 people: an account executive, a planner, a traffic manager, a copyrighter, and a designer. My task within this group was to visualize the concept. Models: Jerome Reid, Dimitra Papastathi

The brief was to raise awareness of the issue of homeless children and promote a campaign lead by Aviva that works on taking 500,000
children from around the world off of the streets. I designed a set of temporary transfers that would be integrated with the packaging of chewing gum
and lollipops that be given away for free to children. The children would then apply these temporary ‘tattoos’ and when seen by their parents,
the concept would become clear. The idea was to initiate an emotive and visually intense response in the target audience.

This project was my unsuccessful submission for the D&AD Illustration Award. The task was to create and illustrative response inspired
by a track of an artist of my choosing. The concept was to integrate the illustration into the digital media as an audio visualization to accompany
the music once played in your media player of choice. Unfortunately, this proved to be a poor final outcome and thus failed as a project.

To create the very best designer, the University of Greenwich handpicks students of exceptional quality from all over the world. This year, our brilliant graduates come from France, Greece, Japan, Russia,
Italy, Chile, Slovakia, Africa and the UK. Our designers require sun and a warm gentle climate as well as an environment that encourages healthy inspiration to develop succulent, juicy ideas. 2plus3 team has been growing successfully without any artificial nutrients or synthetic growth stimulants. Absolutely nothing is added, no flavourings, sugar or preservatives. The designers are now ready to move on to the final inspection.

The Pointer would add colour to the streets and become an active form of entertainment for people. For drivers, it would provide direction signs. For pedestrians, it would act as a guide. Throughout the research and experimental process, I came to realise that this concept was beyond my power to fully illustrate and effectuate in the environment, therefore my venture inherently failed. In it’s failure to produce what I intended to show, the project lost its meaning and purpose. The following diagrams demonstrate my work process and all the factors that prevented me from finalising my initial concept.

The Pointer is a perspective, a point of view. It helps to direct as well as entertain people within a particular environment. The Pointer is the concept that was born out of this perception. The main objective was to explore the possibilities of introducing new types of information signs into the urban environment. The question was would it work? If so, then how would it work. Or if it proved it couldn’t work, then why not. The initial concept was to generate signs using the space in-between static objects, such as buildings, statues, or other objects found typically on the street.

Later I’ve begin to create the visuals of logotype for Pointer playing with circle shapes adding shadows and textures. The concept was to keep them in 3d because the was supposed to be integrated in to the enviroment.
