Superhero Storytime

11 a.m. The Spider Hero from Royal Events Princess Parties will engage children in an interactive story time before inviting them to join him for a meet and greet! We invite the children to wear their favorite costumes but it is optional. Ages 3 and up with accompanying adult. Please no younger siblings. Register for this event online in advance if interested. Short Stacks For A Tall Cause

8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Applebee’s of Hicksville is hosting a flapjack fundraiser breakfast to support the Mercy League. Meal includes: pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage (coffee, juice, soda or tea). Tickets are $13. 2:30 p.m. Join us in our Reading Garden for a mocktail party! Sample 3 delicious spring themed mocktails. Recipes for mocktails will be provided. Snacks will be served. Island Trees Education Meeting

7 p.m. Board of education regular meeting and Nassau BOCES administrative operations budget vote and trustee election. After the opening meeting, it is anticipated the Board may immediately entertain a motion to go into Executive session. Following the Executive session, the Board will reconvene in the Community Room at 7:30 p.m. Public meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Meetings will be held in the Stephen E. Karopczyc School, 74 Farmedge Road, Levittown.
