g INTRODUCTION
I started the process of creation of the new font, by copying the skeleton of the Bauer Bodoni, designed by Heinrich Jost in 1926. This font is part of Bodoni typeface, created by Giambattista Bodoni between the late 18th and early 19th century in Italy. This romantic typeface has different characteristics as the high and abrupt contrast between thick and thin strokes, the unbracketed and thin serifs, the vertical axis and the horizontal stress. First I modified the thickness, inclination and roundness of the strokes, trying though to keep the spirit of the original Bodoni font. Instead I provided more changes for the terminals. They turned from unbracketed to bracketed and their shape became rounded. The stress is slightly diagonal and the difference between the thick and think strokes is still present. The optical effect produced by the new font remembered me somehow the type faces used in fantasy children‘s book, therefor I decided to call it fantasy.

Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people you’d expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious, because they just didn’t hold with such nonsense. Mr Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings, which made drills. He was a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he did have a very large moustache. Mrs Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbours. The Dursleys had a small son called Dudley and in their opinion there was no finer boy anywhere. The Dursleys had everything they wanted, but they also had a secret, and their greatest fear was that somebody would discover it.

Bauer Bodoni is a serif font. For most of the letters there are unbracketed and squared serif but in this case there is as well a bracketed serif on a thin stroke. The thickness contrast is extremely strong.
