Kurt Vile I woke up this morning, didn’t recognize the man in the mirror. Then I laughed and I said, “Oh silly me, that’s just me". Then I proceeded to brush some stranger’s teeth. But they were my teeth, and I was weightless. Just quivering like some leaf come in the window of a restroom.

I couldn’t tell you what the hell it was supposed to mean. But it was a Monday,no a Tuesday, no a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Then Saturday came around and I said “Who’s this stupid clown blocking the bathroom sink?". All he ever wanted was to be someone in life that was just like. All I want is to just have fun. Live my life like a son of a gun. I could be one thousand miles away but still mean what I say.

H DIN ALTERNATE BOLD was the starting point for the creation of this new font, called Tiptoe.

Slight modification of the calligraphic stroke.

TIPTOE Here we can observe the final result of the font Tiptoe Sans, in letter H.

The flat stroke endings of DIN have been squared off.

TIPTOE

The narrator switches to describe his hopes and dreams in the third person “he", showing his removal from the moment and from himself, Rather than being a heady, aloof, confused guy, he wants to be a guy that takes lifa as it comes and lives in the moment, showing his removal from the moment and from himself. Rather than being a heady, aloof, confused guy, he wants to be a guy that takes life as it comes and lives in the moment. His pronouns continue to slide toward the third person because of this dissociative experience. The shift from “man" to “boy" indicates that previously held conception of himself and his maturation experiences as a man have malted away.

“WHO’S THIS STUPID CLOWN BLOCKING THE BATHROOM SINK?"

24/30 pt

The phrase “didn’t recognize the man in the mirror" is repeated through the song however, In the CODA this motif is adapted. All of a sudden Kurt is now an older man looking back at a younger version of himself. This idea comes from the deliberate change from “man to “boy".

Even though he logically recognizes that it’s “just me", he continues to have a styrange experience as he sees himself as a stranger. Some individuals experiencing depersonalization may report out of body experiences, or feelin as if experiences, or feeling as if they are in a dream or are watching themselves in a movie. While the causes of depersonalization are unknown, there are correlations.
