Lost streets
I’ve never wanted a conventional life, a life that I feel a need to escape, filled with discontent and comfort. I’ve never wanted to be stuck in an office building, never able to wander away when it’s time to leave. I’ve always wanted more than that, and it’s possible.
Travel means freedom, it means finding yourself lost in the most amazing ways.

you are supposed to be. Exploring the outdoors is a the simpliest way to connect with something other than our needy phones, busy agendas, and any other type of technology. What I am talking about is just you and the outdoors; raw, real and having good time. If it is either just you and the great outdoors, or being around a group of friends or your partner—there really is no other great connection that is so unique and often really surprising.

Get lost
Can you recall the last time you took a trip without your cell phone map or travel guide? Hole-in-the-wall spot were meant to be stumbled upon. Sometimes getting lost turns into more of an adventure than your initial plans. These quiet moments with yourself as you navigate through strangers and strange places may feel uncomfortable. Pretend you have not lost your way, but rather you are exactly where you are supposed to be. While everything around you remains foreign you will

become attuned to your inner truths. These situations inspire the greatest growth as you challenge yourself socially, physically, emotionally in new environments. Embrace your free time by losing your way in nature. Give into the unknown knowing that if your stumble turns into a fall you will at least have a good story. When you return from your trip, you will realize little has changed at home. On the other hand you will have changed immensely. No words will suffice to describe

is your way? If it’s night time you want to look to the stars for guidance. If you can locate the North Star then you’ll know where north is and consequentially, east, south and west too. However, the North Star, also known as Polaris, is not always so easy to find – though it is fairly bright, it’s certainly not the brightest star. If you’re struggling to locate it, then you want to look for the Plough and find the two stars at the blade end of it. Draw an imaginary line through these two stars and follow the line upwards where you will reach the North Star. However, this only works in the Northern Hemisphere. If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, things get a little trickier as you can’t see the North Star there. you’re in the Southern Hemisphere. Instead, locate the four bright stars that make up the Southern Cross and draw an imaginary line. It is not that easy to get lost. And even if it happens don’t worry: there is aways a way to escape. So do not hesitate and go experience as fast as possible.

where your next trip should take place?
Do you know
Georgia Adi Goldstein
You want your trip to be a success and that starts with a right-fit destination. But, choosing your travel destination feels overwhelming. No worries. This can happen whether you’re planning your first trip or you’re a seasoned traveler. Break the process down into smaller pieces to sort out the practicalities and uncover your motivation to travel. What kind of weather suits your travel style? Do you want to sightsee when it’s warm or work on your tan? Do you prefer cooler temperatures or want to see that perfect winter white landscape? Obviously, your weather preference can help narrow down possible travel destinations based on when you intend to travel. Keep in mind that traveling during peak seasons comes with higher prices. Oftentimes, the weather is pleasant, but may not be for what you were ideally looking. On the upside, fewer people visit during these times, which means you’ll be less affected

Naples is a city often overlooked by tourists, as there are far too many rumors it’s unsafe. But sometimes, when it comes to travel, you shouldn’t believe everything you hear. Naples will give you a true taste of Italy, thanks to its winding cobblestone streets, authentic pizza and real Italian flavor. The city has an entirely different vibe than fashionable Milan or touristy Rome. Although you should keep an eye on your belongings, use street smarts and avoid hanging out at old train stations in the wee hours of the day — as you would in any other European or US city — I never once felt unsafe here, night or day. Here’s why you should visit this underrated part of Italy. Sure, Florence and Rome are stunning, but they’re also packed to the brim with tourists, often preventing you from having a more authentic Italian experience.

Whereas Naples may not be as visually tidy as Rome, as glamorous as Milan or as picturesque as Florence, the city offers a truly local experience that remains forever. There’s nothing like wandering around the city center and hearing only Italian being spoken. However this type of travel may not be for everyone, but if you are hoping to understand how real Italian people live, this is the perfect city to experience that. Plus, prices are local prices, meaning it’s a cheap spot to visit. As my Italian nonna always preaches: “Rome is the heart of Italy, but Naples is the soul of Italy.” If there’s one reason to visit Naples that no one can deny, it’s for the pizza. With more than two thousands years of history, Naples has a lot to see. You can easily spend a few days and still not feel like you’ve done everything that you have planned to do.

Ever been to a place and thought, “Wow, this is where I’m meant to be?” There are so many magical places out there in nature, and to rush through gorgeous coastal towns, lush mountainsides or crazy cities can be The “undestinate” a harsh regret to stomach later down destination the track. Immersing yourself in the culture is my favorite way to travel. There is nothing better than knowing every back street of an island, the best places alongside locals or the secret lookouts to watch the sunset. It can be quite a blow when you have to leave a place where you only just started to find your groove. If you have an unplanned trip, it’s easy to reconfigure an itinerary and book into an Airbnb for a month and really get accustomed to the place. Local knowledge is invaluable. There is nothing that comes close to the suggestions of locals or people that have been based in an area for a prolonged period of time. Sometimes you won’t have the luxury of being able to stay in a place for a long time, so you have to tap into the minds of those around you. More often than not, you’ll be flooded with suggestions to go and see places that you never even heard despite the many days and nights of research you put into the trip before you left. Spontaneity is your friend! Have a loose outline of what you want to do in your head or in your notebook and leave it at that. Get out there and live on the edge a little. It is hard to reach a decision – so many places to go, so little time! But by considering a few simple factors like your budget, your interests and your travel style it should hopefully, make it a little easier for you to choose your next travel destination. Do not hesitate, pack your stuff and go. Bali, Indonesia Justin Kauffman

The Crowded City against the Breezy Nature Urban life is a fairly new concept for our species. During most of our evolution we have been living in close contact with nature. Sure, we have had great civilizations and big-cities for several thousand years, but not the noisy concrete jungles we have today. Nevertheless, cities are great hubs for novel ideas and new technologies. They gather a lot of human resources in one place. City life, despite its great amount of benefits, is associated with higher rates of mental illness, including depression. Research suggests several different ways to increase nature-induced well-being, even in cities. Having a view

with natural elements, such as trees, seems to impact well-being. Inner city children who have a natural view from their home seem to have higher levels of discipline. If you are spending all of your time deep in the urban jungle, chances are you are stressed out. You are pacing concrete sidewalks in the valleys between skyscrapers, eyes-glued to a cell-phone, thoughts locked on how to make it to work in time despite the huge traffic jam of people on the subway. This myriad of impressions can make you worry and think negative thoughts. One study proposes a simple yet effective way to calm your mind.

These folks give you a glimpse outside your hometown circle of friends, and force you to take in new and refreshing perspectives, and ultimately realize that everyone is the same. Sometimes it’s only far from home that you realize you you’ve got skills you’ve never used. It’s travel that brings them to the surface and makes you smile, satisfied to have reached the mountain top, or crossed a gorge or helped a villager clean up after a storm, or even to have successfully ordered a hige meal at a rural Chinese restaurant. Ever been to a place and thought, “Wow, this is where I’m meant to be?” There are so many magical places out there, and to rush through gorgeous coastal towns, lush mountainsides or crazy, crowded cities can be a harsh regret to stomach later down the track. People are hardwired for the excitement of adventure and travel may just be the best way to tap into it. There is nothing better than knowing every back street of an island, the best places alongside locals or the secret lookouts to watch the sunset. You’ll be constantly surprised at the all flavors the world has to offer. The way people in other cultures and countries prepare food, and break bread together (not that all cultures even eat bread) will astound you. Why travel? Because you can. Because you want to. Because it beats the alternative. Get the ball rolling now!

Speaking of new friends, some of the best people in my life are some folks that I randomly bumped into upon the road. There are so many travellers and so many different ways to meet people. Travelling is kind of like speed-dating except with friends, if you don’t like someone, you don’t have to see them again. If you do like someone, you go in the same direction. It’s pretty neat.
