is a font which combines sharp and flowy shapes, the name it self gives the filing of the cotrast between straignt and round since it’s the name of a desert which is hard to cut and crunchy but also extreemely sweet. A contrast between thick and thin strokes is present and it gives movement to the font making the font more interesting. The creation of this font started with the study of “Sabon“ and continues as an evolution of the previwously mencioned font startiwng with completly new serfs and strokes with different width. 11/16pt

History and stories
12/14pt Nougat is a French candy made by whipping egg whites until they are light and frothy. Sugar or honey syrup is added to stabilize the foam and creating a frappe. Roasted nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, or walnuts, are added. A number of other flavoring ingredients are then added to create nougat with different flavors. Nuts are also added. Nougat is called torrone in Italy and turron in Spain. History: The history of the origin of nougat varies with different historians. Most historians believe that nougat comes from ancient Rome where a sweet made from honey, almonds, and eggs was made and reserved for special functions or as an offering to their gods. The first known documented mention in Italy of torrone was in the year 1441 in Cremona, where at the wedding of Francesco Sforza to Maria Bianca Visconti, a new sweet was created in the couple’s honor. French historians think that the nougat traces back to a Greek walnut confection known as nux gatum or mougo that was originally made using walnuts. In the 17th century, Olivier of Serres planted almond trees close to Montelimar. It is thought that the almonds replaced the walnuts in the Greek recipe and evolved into nougat. Today, Montelimar, a small city in the Drome section of southern France is known for their nougat. The first commercial factory opened in the late 18th century and now this city has 14 nougat manufacturers producing this wonderful confection. Another story tells of a farmer’s wife, taking advantage of plentiful almonds, honey, and eggs on her farm, created nougat candy. 8/11pt
Spanish turrón follows the traditional recipes with toasted almonds, sugar, honey and egg whites. Torrone from Italy includes these same basic ingredients as well as vanilla or citrus flavoring, and is often sandwiched between two very thin sheets of edible wafer. Australian nougat is produced by a similar method to French nougat but usually has a 50% almond content and no pistachios, although it can contain Macadamia nuts, apricots, or other texture modifiers. The nougat is commonly produced in two varieties: soft and crunchy. During candy making, this is done by heating a sugar solution to different temperatures before folding in egg whites and honey.
In southern Europe, where it is likely to have originated, nougat is largely associated with the Christmas season.Traditional nougat candy is produced mainly in Spain (where it is called turrón, or, in Catalan, torró) and in Cremona, Italy (where it is called torrone); Montélimar, France; and Belgium. It is also enjoyed in Australasia and the Far East. Golden Boronia, Mondo Nougat and Flying Swan are the most widely known manufacturers in Australasia specializing in the production of European style nougat all year round as opposed to the many European manufacturers which treat the product as a seasonal speciality.

19pt Enjoyed for centuries, Nougat is a classic confection made from honey, egg whites and almonds. Many countries claim parentage to this traditional delight. Variations are found in Italy, France, Spain and the Middle East, but its actual origins are obscure. Some trace it back to the Romans in the ancient writings of the Roman epicure, Apicius from 1st-century AD, whose notes were used for the ancient cookbook, De Re Coquinaria from the 4th-century AD. This describes a nut custard made of honey, walnuts and eggs.

20pt While there are literally dozens of variations, perhaps hundreds, they generally fall into soft and hard versions. This being adjusted by the ingredients and length of cooking time. Versions of nougat made with honey tend to be softer, while the sugar versions are harder, even brittle. There is even an American derivative version called divinity fudge, made from corn syrup. Italy Nougat: Called Torrone in Italian, it is said to have been first created in Cremona, Lombardy for a wedding celebration of aristocrats in the 15th century. It was created in the shape of the bell tower of the Cremona cathedral, then known as the Torrazzo or Torrione—a possible origin of the name Torrone. The yearly Torrone Festival is held in Cremona. Found throughout Italy, noteworthy nougats are from Alba, Mombercelli and Novi Ligure in Piedmont (a hard version with hazelnuts), Siena, the Benevento, the Abruzzi and Calabria. The city of Caltanissetta, Sicily produces a delicious version with Arab roots, called “cubaita” and Sardinia’s version contains 100% Sardinian honey and no sugar.
