Colors of the streets

Colors of the streets is a collection of photographs from Naples, Rome, Hambourg and few other cities. The point in each shot is the color, while as a collection it originated by a string of casual events. During a photographic contest a friend of mine won the book of Fred
Herzog “Modern colors” and that same evening I had the chance to leaf through the beautiful Herzog’s photographs. Soon after, news and social networks reported the death of the photographer and some of his famous shots returned to my eyes reinforcing the fascination for his colors and atmosphere during the ‘50s and ‘60s in Vancouver. I was already trying to give consistency to the colors in my photographs by tweaking the camera’s setting or adopting digital photographic developments with natural colors, old-film look as the first aim, mimicking as much as possible Kodachrome used by Herzog. Since then I always search to adopt Herzog-look to my photography.
This book resulted from this fascination.
