Antonio Casella
I was born in Sicily. At age 11, I wanted to be a missionary, instead at 15, my parents took me to Australia. At 26, started a degree at the University of W.A. I was 36 when my first novel, Southfalia, was published. I was 48 when "The Sensualist" was published. 1993-1995 Masters degree in Creative at University of W.A. 1994 I wrote "Men and Fathers". 1996 I was Writer in Residence at the Australia Council's Studio in Rome. 2007 completed a PhD in Creative writing. 2008 my PhD thesis was published. 2011 My short play: To Catch a Bride was performed. 2013 'An Olive Branch for Sante' was published. Career Highlights: Publication of my novels. Australia Council Writing Fellowship (1989) Australian Writer in Residence at the B.R. Whiting Studio in Rome in 1996. Nine of my stories have been published in Literary journals and Newspapers.
