‘Lynx’ is a group of companies that operates within many industries, including trade and finance. The client wanted for the logo to have a sense of musculinity, strength and reliability. The typographic element creates a base for the logo to “stand” on, symbolising qualities the client requested.
‘Slider Factory’ is a concept restaurant which will utilise the look and feel of a factory with a mini travelator embedded into the bar and tables, distributing burgers and other diner type of food. I have created a typeface concept, which, along with the logo, carries the overall industrial look.
‘lake tatvaah’ is a concept to be launched in the UAE in 2014. It is a spa resort and a motherbrand to a group of brand’s divisions. The client’s main needs were for the logo to be simple, modern yet reminiscent to the Asian old age natural healing.
logo design
‘Edaran’ is a corporation based in Singapore, which provides economical and reliable marine solutions. It operates in the industries such as engineering and fabrication of jackup barges, shipyard facilities and more. ‘Edaran’ is currently being rebranded with the new logo (above) and a total revamp of collateral, marketing and digital materials. The graphic element of the logo symbolizes corporation’s main focus through blue colour (marine) and shape (jackup barges).
‘Al Khater Designs’ is an interior design concept company with N. Al Khater as the head interior designer, whose vision was to create an interior design studio that would provide clients with consultation service and high-quality furniture products, which would be as stylish as they are comfortable. The inspiration for the logo came from the shape of a poolside chair that is, when designed with great care, comfortable and elegant. Additionally, the first two letters of the founder’s name, when written in Arabic, look similar to the shape of the logo.
This is a personal logo created for an aspiring photographer, Laura Huntley, who is based in Dubai. The motive for the logo was to use the first letters of her first and second names and then place them in a way that would resemble a photo camera with the lens.
Collateral items feature the logo centered and prominantly at the top. The logo is foiled on the back of the business cards.
To compliment the logo, collateral items feature a simplistic approach to the layout, with the logo being set in the upper left corner and the type information in the opposite corner.
collateral
Due to the nature of the logo, it was the best to position it in the lower left corner of every collateral item. Additionally, the deepest colour of the logo is featured on the inside of the envelopes.
Following the client’s request, a minimum of typography has been placed on the collateral material, however a small design detail should be noted: the lens circle is multiplied and distributed in a size-increasing manner across envelopes and business cards’ front sides to capture the essence of the light in motion.
‘one8one’ is the only youth magazine targeted at the multicultural youth of the UAE. It is a 64 page monthly publication, contemporary in look and appeal, which is written and created by youth and young adults.
magazine
‘In Celebration of a Legendary Friendship: Oman’ is the second chapter of the ‘ICLF’ luxury books series that focuses on a business and trade relationships between India and Oman. The design is inspired by the traditional Omani mosaics and the colours are a reflection of Omani nature colour scheme.
books
books ‘Images of Success‘ luxury limited-edition table book series that showcases 33 successful personalities of a chosen country. The cover features a design element picked for the country based on its cultural and traditional background.
brochures The ABLF Awards event borchure, invitation card and CD sleeve were the main part of the event collateral. Techniques like foiling, embossing and the use of special paper and inks have been used to add to the overall luxury feel to the brand.
freehand These works were done using pencils, pens, gouache, watercolour, wax, and black ink. The works are still-life, live drawing and abstract ideas.
