Testimonials Bond University is Australia’s top-performing private university. Bond was founded in 1989 due to the increasing need for quality tertiary education. The campus is situated on the Gold Coast, an hours drive from Brisbane. Bond University qualifications are internationally recognised. Bond is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is a full member of the Australian Vice-Chancellor’s Association. Bond South Africa is accredited by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) and registered with the Department of Education (Certificate number 00HF03) Bond University’s South African campus commenced delivery of the MBA programme in 1997. Due to the excellent response and great success of this degree, the undergrad degree programmes were subsequently introduced. Bond’s uncompromising approach to quality education has led to strong growth of the South African campus. The structure of the degrees offered at the South African campus are identical to those offered at the Australian campus. This means that students enrolled at Bond can study at either campus. The award winning Bond MBA has been offered in South Africa since 1997. Students may choose to follow a general stream or specialise by selecting an Information Technology or Marketing elective. Each stream offers faceto-face tuition with an intensive 570 hours of lecture contact time over a two year period.

The Bond MBA is one of the most demanding MBA programmes available in South Africa today, and is unique in that fifty percent of the subjects are delivered by international academics, flown in specially for the programme. The international experience of these\ lecturers provides an incalculable enrichment benefit to our South African students. Bond University competes in international business competitions annually. Bond (South Africa) was the first university from South Africa to participate in the international Nasdaq/Motorola MBA Competition in the USA. In the last 4 years, our South African students have never placed lower than the semi-finals.

Bond University has also been the most consistent performer in the last decade at the MOOT CORPsm MBA Competition in Texas. Bond teams were victorious in ’93, ’95, ’96 and 25000, beating teams from Harvard,Yale, Stanford and London Business School. The Bond University MBA is offered in Sandton, Pretoria and Cape Town. For further details on the MBA and other postgraduate degrees, please contact Bond.

Undergraduate At Bond University you can complete your full-time undergraduate degree in 2 years. At university level, semesters are usually 14 weeks long, with undergraduate degrees being made up of a total of 6 semesters. Most universities offer 2 semesters per year, with students having long holidays and only completing their degrees in 3 years. Bond University uses your time more effectively, offering 3 semesters (still of 14 weeks each) per year. This international approach allows you to complete your degree in 2 years, rather than 3. Bond’s essential difference is centered in its commitment to the individual. At Bond students attend a lecture and a tutorial per subject per week. Classes are kept small to maximise the student’s interaction with both the lecturer and fellow students. Typical class sizes for lectures are between 40 and 100 students and for tutorials about 20 students. Within this high level of personal attention, students are encouraged to take a practical “real world” approach to their degree studies.
