ECHO FALLS SELTZER ADDS TO ITS ACCOLADES
ACCOLADE WINES’ ECHO FALLS SELTZER BRAND HAS ADDED ANOTHER AWARD, JUSTA WEEK AFTER WINNING AN SLR PRODUCTS OF THE YEAR 2020 AWARD.
Echo Falls’ Blueberry & Hibiscus Rosé Seltzer has won the ‘Product of The Year’ award in the Hard Seltzer category, just a week after retailers voted the range the winner of the Hard Seltzers category at the SLR Products of the Year 2020 Awards.
Products are shortlisted the Product of the Year award by a jury of journalists and industry experts, before being voted on by nearly 10,000 consumers based on appeal to buy and product satisfaction.
Blueberry & Hibiscus Rosé Seltzer (ABV 4.5%) is a mix of rosé wine, sparkling water, and fruit flavours or sweeteners, with the 250ml cans containing only 69kcal. Launched in August 2020 alongside Strawberry & Pink Pepper, and Raspberry, Lychee & Rose varieties, the seltzers are intended to appeal to consumers looking to moderate their alcohol consumption and calorie intake.
Anne Uva, Assistant Brand Manager, Echo Falls, said: “2020 saw a boom in the trend for seltzers, offering a lighter alternative to traditional drinks such as beer or wine.
“We’re very proud to be named Product of The Year and it’s testament to the hard work of our innovation team who developed these lower calorie and lower alcohol seltzers in three delicious flavours to capitalise on the category’s continued growth.”
The accolade for the brand comes just a week after being named SLR Product of the Year in the hard seltzer category, an awards programme decided by a poll of Scottish retailers.
