Shell and Uber Eats strike national partnership

Customers can order items from 183 Shell locations, with a further 158 Shell stores set to join the app soon.

Uber Eats has added more than 340 Shell forecourt grocery stores across the country to its platform.

The move means households across the country will be able to have groceries from Little Waitrose, Jamie Oliver Deli, and Budgens delivered within minutes through the Uber Eats app.

Customers can order items from 183 Shell locations nationwide, including London, Manchester and Glasgow, with a further 158 Shell stores set to join the app in the coming months.

More than 250 of the Shell stores joining the app are available for orders 24 hours a day as Uber Eats taps into the increased demand for treats, food, drink, baby essentials and everyday groceries for 24/7 delivery.

More than 750 items, from fresh fruit and veg to ready-made food and treats to household and cupboard essentials, will be delivered to customers’ doors in as little as 30 minutes.

Sunjiv Shah, General Manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “As demand for grocery and essential items continues to soar on the Uber Eats app, we’re delighted to bring Shell to the app as an exclusive partner.”

Bernie Williamson, General Manager of Retail in the UK at Shell, added: “We’re thrilled to be launching our stores on the Uber Eats app. With Uber Eats, we’re able to reach even more customers and expand our delivery services across the UK. We offer our customers convenience on-the-go and with this new collaboration we can now also offer a wide selection of food and essentials, available for delivery to your door in less than 30 minutes.”
