Karnataka public school is located on the outskirts of rural Bhatkal city which has become a day school for hundreds of children who come from lower income group families. The project key in hand was to reimagine an existing and decaying 100 year old campus which failed to meet and deliver the basic requirements for a growing child in a learning environment, whilst maintaining the movement patterns and flow of the child exploring his campus. KPS is merely a facilitator for learning and growth for these children as well as their teachers, showing how buildings can be adaptive, passive and yet efficient in purpose.

KR Market Overhead Walkways.

The KR Flower Market located in the heart of Bangalore city is the key focus of the urban revitalization project. This market is a victim to the threat of losing its identity imposed by improper planning strategies and informal vending activities. The proposed design intervention aims at regenerating the lost vibrancy of the market and promote a positive outlook to the existing scenario by creating a path leading the market towards a strong economic hub.

The areas where the proposals have been positioned have adequate amount of room to house these bridges, these corridors will cut down on pedestrian traffic on road and will make the whole travel safe. There is need to segregate the pedestrian movement from the vehicular in order to reduce the amount of chaos around vicinity of the market. Improvement of pedestrian safety increased amount of green cover and inclusion of services.

Existing dumping zone
Located at SJP road, connects spaces of the green zone to the market and regulates the footfall to and from the bridge Issues - Over the last few years there has been a major rise in the number of pedestrians killed in road accidents .It is recorded that on an average, one death occurs per day due to accidents, with pedestrians figuring in 38% of the road accident deaths in Bangalore. Pedestrians constitute nearly 45% in the total fatal category and 36% in the total injured category. The high pedestrian fatality rates emphasizes on the poor pedestrian facilities existing in Bangalore. Thus pedestrian safety has become a matter of grave concern. With this vision to improve pedestrian infrastructure, the project has been envisaged. • 4000 formal informal vendors and around 1,00,000 customer footfall daily. • The vendors are also located in areas with high pedestrian movement to attract customers.

Providing the overhead walkway transfers the traffic from the conflict zones to a safer passage, cancelling existing congestion. This walkway also connects with the adjacent bridges to form a safe connection with the main road and other important spaces.
Entry/exit point Proposed overhead walkways Arterial roads Flyover
The walkways club together the parallel existing walking routes taken by pedestrians towards the market. The walkways run over the most densely packed pedestrian and vehicular overlapping zones The ramps are to be built in already existing areas which block circulation to have minimal interference on already existing ground routes

Major over lapping of pedestrian and vehicular traffic causing safety concerns. Interference for the basement parking entry via the ramp. Zebra crossings are in places of fast moving traffic and multi road junctionarea. Multiple bus stops cause unorganized pedestrian movement in the area.

Pedestrian movement from chikpet to market is mainly from the road which has been highlighted. The total road width is 8m near fig1 and it gets wider when it reaches metro station. Current Scenario Vendors encroach pavements; Carriageway encroached by pedestrians. Traffic congestion is increased
• Vehicles approaching from BVK Iyengar road and from west side towards srinivasa char cross street park at zone 1 near conflict zone and walk towards the market area. • Only 2 wheeler are allowed inside zone 2 • The squatters have encroached their stalls in zone 2 • Which is creating a major conflict for pedestrian and vehicles to move around.

INTERIOR DESIGN Private Government Residence.
INTERIOR DESIGN Schematic Plan
This interior redesign project explores into a 150 sq. m government private residence apartment in the hills of Richmond, Shimla. This family of 3 called for a design intervention which targets towards visually connecting the living spaces and inviting in a view of the hills through a glass house which brightens up the house. Hence the concept To transform the existing space by following a touch of the rustic theme and style with warm and wooden tones and pallets that match with the cold context of the site and give the redesigned spaces a new personality while enhancing its original essence
The new colour palette is made reflective to the existing colour scheme of the house which creates spaces to brighten the rooms while centrally connecting them, breaking the visual and physical barriers between the two rooms, making it more functional, welcoming and accessible by the family. The outcome of the transformation is a more open space which enables fluid movement throughout the house while enhancing the cosiness and marinating the existing strengths of the space

Plinth and Foundation
During the assembly , the precast foundation is placed on the PCC bed , which has been previously prepared. Then the precast column is mounted on the foundation. The precast element has been conceived to obtain a perfect connection between the precast foundation and connecting plinth beam, necessary for reducing lateral stress.

Columns and Beams
First the location of the beams were finalized and their lengths were calculated. Formworks for beams and columns are made accordingly. Reinforcements were made using wires of two thicknesses – one for stirrups and other for main reinforcing bars. Concrete was the poured into the framework and left to cure.

After the positions of the columns and beams were confirmed, the slabs were designed accordingly. Gaps were left with the dimensions of the columns , so columns could be placed there. The formwork was made using foam board. Chicken mesh was placed for reinforcement. One side was left open to smoothen using a trowel , after pouring the concrete. Pouring concrete onto formwork while exposed surface is evened out and left for curing. Formwork of slab with chicken mesh for reinforcement.
