The state of Manipur, located in the northeastern region of India, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, and unique architectural styles. Manipur's cultural diversity is reflected in its traditional dances, music, festivals, crafts, and indigenous practices, all of which contribute to a distinct regional identity. However, despite this cultural richness, there is a noticeable absence of a centralized hub where these cultural assets can be showcased, preserved, and promoted on a larger scale.
This architectural thesis aims to design a Manipur Cultural Centre that not only serves as a repository and exhibition space for the state's cultural artifacts but also acts as a dynamic venue for cultural exchange, education, and community engagement. The envisioned cultural center will be a place where tradition meets modernity, where the past is celebrated while embracing the future.
