I am Anushka Mallick. I am a 3rd year Product Design student at MIT Institute of Design, Pune. I am dedicated, hardworking and am willing to use any opportunity that will strengthen my creative ability. I have good leadership qualities, communication skills, patience, which I feel are important for a designer. My core strengths lie in research analysis, conceptualization, ideation, prototyping, and design execution. I would like to intern for a period of 6-8 weeks from the ďŹ rst week of June.

EXPLORATIONS
No visual feedback for double bolt’s status
A solenoid is placed in the receptacle. It’s connected with a LED.
FINAL CONCEPT
The core of the latch/bolt is Ferromagnetic.
The key and the knob have the tag to the RFID reader in the receptacle.
Bolt gets attracted to the edge of receptacle. It stays until either of the tag is pressed.
Edge which comes in contact with bolt, is knurled to increase friction. Has a 10mm fillet .
The surface is smooth powder coated. It is dark grey in colour with matte finish. Has aztec print on it. Print is glossy. Available in three finishes- Chrome, Gold, Silver.
The latch has a strip of photo luminescent pigment. The double bolt has a nickel chromium plating.
The receptacle has windows for a better feedback for the lock status.
Double bolt will be visible through window when user rotates the knob. One rotation- the bolt is visible through the first window, so on and so forth.

Combined textures and colours of all the patinas. Collage on surface of the table. This table has 8 legs. Elliptical base form for legs for better support. They have a circular cross section.

Copper has been used to make jewellery since about 7000 years. The different types of patinas obtained are used to create various jewellery pieces which can express what the texture and the colour bring out.
Earring: Form of a drop. Green patina on copper Gold finish top ring and fixture.
Necklace: Rectangular pendant Blue patina on copper Black bracket to put the patinated copper
Ring: Has projections on head. Purple patina on brass. Gold finish body and bracket.

FINAL CONCEPT The height of compartment- 130mm. Accomodates shoes of average dimensions. Space optimization.
Compartment kept open from one end. Cuts down on the odour. Easy cleaning.
The total height- 650 mm. Material- hard acrylic.
Module based design. One can add on to it in any direction.
A small part carved out from compartment. Easy handling of shoes.

FINAL CONCEPT The form of the bottle is cylindrical. It tapers towards the mouth. It is made of clear poly carbonate polymer.
The cap of the bottle is wooden. It has a silicon stopper base. Volume of bottle: 500 ml
It has two labels. The vertical label has the brand name. The horizontal label runs along half the bottle. Contains the avour and net wt.
Horizontal label is of cloth. It has 3 layers sandwiched together. A shadow is visible on horizontal label when kept against light.
A label at the base contains all other information. Colour of the beverage seen through bottle.

Its an ethnic women’s waistcoat. It is made using two materials. Grey Cotton-Silk and Orange Synthetic Raw Silk. Has a Mandarin Collar, orange from inside, grey from outside.
The entire waistcoat has been quilted with a zig-zag pattern.
Four loop buttons for fixture. Cloth buttons made from cotton silk fabric.
2.5” broad tuck strip, borders the lower part. Orange cord seam on the front panels and armholes.
