PixelVin ACOUSTICAL WALL PAPER Wallpaper by itself, when adhered to plastered walls, does not provide any acoustical advantages; plus it might mirror the irregularities of the base wall. Now, Anutone provides you with an engineering solution that makes select wallpapers an acoustical surface as if by magic! Anutone PixelVin provides solutions with embossed vinyl films from Anutone. It is a complete wall finishing system that results in an attractively textured surface and as with Anutone, acoustics is built into the system, so you get invisible acoustics as well. No panel effect, no seams - just square metres of uninterrupted wall in textured white. The added advantages of Anutone PixelVin is the surface is very easy to maintain with a light damp wipe and requires no painting or surface coating over time. Anutone PixelVin also provides very high light reflectance of 85% to earn green ratings for interiors. However, commercially available wallpaper, if technically approved by Anutone, can also be used, and is installed in a similar fashion. This opens up your choices to almost infinity! Variants: Stratus, Shale, Shingle and Stix See 10 Fabulous Features of Anutone Pixel Series on page 2.

PixelVelour PixelCordura ACOUSTICAL FABRIC WALLS Want seamless fabric walls as a finishing solution but do not want stretched fabric system that could potentially sag over a period of use? It is time to go for Anutone PixelVelour or Anutone PixelCordura - the two fabric wall solutions from Anutone! Anutone PixelVelour provides solutions with plain surface fabrics while Anutone PixelCordura provides similar solutions with a ribbed fabric finish. It is also possible to choose commercially available wall carpets, if technically approved by Anutone. Both Anutone PixelVelour and Anutone PixelCordura are complete wall finishing systems that result in a rigid but attractive fabric surface, and, as with Anutone, acoustics is built into the system so you get invisible acoustics as well. No panel effect, no seams - just square metres of uninterrupted wall in fabrics.

Installation Guidelines - Panelling •

Mechanically fasten Anutone Strut SB10/CC10 horizontally at 600mm centres with shims for levelling

Estimate and cut the surface material carefully – “measure twice, cut once”. Cut 50-100mm more than required length and ensure pattern/weave/grain matching.

Brush apply Anutone Stick S7 spots on wall and friction fit Synth 5x10 rolls in the gap between SB10/CC10

Before cutting check for minor defects on wall covering which must be cut out and removed.

Mechanically fasten Anutone MAT or Pixel, long edges vertical, on SB10/CC10 at 600mm centres

Spray or roller brush Anutone Stick W on the Pixel panel, thinly, evenly, entirely. Estimated consumption is 250g/m2.

Ensure panels are absolutely level to each other – this is very important – use more shims, if necessary

Similarly, spray or roller brush Anutone Stick W on backside of surfacer material (batch # side), thinly, evenly, entirely. Place waste cloth on floor before this operation.

Finish taper edge joints with tape and jointing compound to a smooth finish. Any putty work, for example on fastener heads or nicks, must be done at this stage.

Allow some time for tackiness to develop and then hang drop the surface wall covering.

Before hanging the balance surfacers you must ensure the first butt joint is flush tight and no gaps appear as with all joints of surfacer. You must also ensure matching of pattern/weave/grain or adjust vertically accordingly.

Clean the base wall surface and mark the lines as required for Anutone Strut SB10/CC10

• •

There are two ways of blending/camouflaging the jointing compound colour with the Anutone MAT or Pixel panel. (This is essential to prevent the bands and spots of colour gradation showing through thin wall coverings.)

Either pigment the jointing compound and/or putty to the greyish colour of the Anutone MAT/Pixel or paint one coat of white primer after the jointing and/or putty is done.

Surfacer edges must not overlap at the joints nor must there remain any gap between their edges.

Use a light sander to ensure the substrate is super smooth and seamless. This is again very important as any defects in substrate will mirror through surface wall covering.

Use a blind roller or plastic spatula on the surfacer sideways towards the butt joints taking care in removing air bubbles, if any. Then roll the entire surface down.

Any adhesive spills or surfacer contamination must be cleaned immediately.

Clean the substrate thoroughly and mark the butt joint lines as required for surface material.

For Anutone PixelSmery, apply base primer coat and finish with 2 coats of paint. Estimated consumption is 350-500g/m2.

If joint lines of surface material coincide with perf of Anutone Pixel then blind the perf with jointing compound and sand to smoothness. This is not necessary for Anutone MAT panel.

Please note prior to painting Anutone PixelSmery, no putty work etc is to be done.

The job must be progressively checked for any variations in colour or appearance and informed to Anutone immediately.

Check the drawings and ensure all tools and materials are at site

Make sure all joints and bumps on fastener heads of MAT/Pixel board are sanded super smooth

Apply vinyl glue thinly, evenly and fully on MAT/ Pixel to receive the surface wall covering

Cut wall covering rolls to required size allowing for tolerances

Paste the wall covering by dropping vertically on MAT/Pixel and smooth it with plastic rasper

Cut off excess wall covering with sharp knife

Ensure butt joints between successive drops are fine and level

Smery is the only wall covering choice that requires painting with acrylic paint

Paint a second finishing coat on the Smery when the first coat is dry.
