INTRODUCTION STANLEY
NORTH OF HONG KONG ISLAND Brief
As a continuation of my research, analysis and experimentation into the reconfiguration of site, , design a museum with community facilities. The museum should house a collection relating to the site and the research completed in previous study.
Objective
In order to raise the consciousness of protecting stanley natural environment. The design is aim at amplify stanley's unpleasant circumstances, include, the government place the murray building into stanley without discourse with the community, the development of new promenade and rebuild the stanley mall. These kind of activity is to dismantle the instinctive character of stanley which is caused a lot of interruption within this community. Therefore, the museum is designed to evoke the awareness of insufficent communication between government and resident as well as enhance the bonding of people who are living and traveling in this community by the experiment of different artifacts. This kind of experiment help to identify a series of architectural principles which is include proportion, spatial motion, shadow and etc.

The image has impiled the meaning of contradictions and evoke my compassion to find out who destory this tree; it means to figure out the answer of '' why there are rocks inside broken tree trunk'' Then, this event became the clue of how to reconfigurate three samples. In order to raises the message of environmental protections. The physical model and digital technology have combined to create this dramatic collage. P.16

It is between July to September, the means daily maximum temperature are above 30 deg.C which is start to drop down after September. From November, the mean daily minimum temperature is decreased till to February. Regarding to humidity, June has 85% humidity which is highest and December has lowest humidity, it is 67%. In adittion, June has highest rainfall, it is 23mm and December has lowest rainfall, it is 476.8mm. Moreover, the prevailing wind direction over the years are mostly blowing between the angle of 80 to 110, which is either Northeast or Southeast.

WINTER SOLAR INFLUENCE 東 E 090
From the traditional perspective, we often percerived shadow as a kind of medium to reflect an object. In fact, this design is go to release the shadow of power. It means that the shadow could make a node point in the community; the shadow could intervene our home space; the shadow could alter the cityscape and so on.

The relationship between solar path and the proposed building is investigated and illustrated through the diagram that show as below. The study indicated the length of the shadow when there is the sunlight project onto the building in different season. Moreover, the study have found out the length of shadow is significantly changed between summer and winter after it have incorporated Hong Kong solar path. The former have highest altitude, the latter have lowest altitude.

The above Sun Path Diagram can be used to read the solar azimuth and altitude for Hong Kong throughout the year. The blue arcs mark Sun positions on 12 major Solar Terms with date sequence in clockwise direction starting from Severe Cold (20/1) labelled on the eastern flank, moving upward to Vernal Equinox (20/3), Summer Solstice (21/6), then Great Heat (22/7) labelled on the western flank, and ending at the Winter Solstice (21/12). The uppermost blue arc is marked with clock hour from 06:00 to 19:00 HKT. There are two sets of blue curves extending from these time labels, forming closed loops with the shape of "8". The solid curves mark the clock hour for the first half of the year up to Summer Solstice, and the dotted curves for the period between Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice. Once the date and time are located, user can read the azimuth from radial lines and altitude from the concentric circles.

Interior shadow study
This study is to determine how to integrate the dark and light in this space. However, the final design has only used one skylight on top of the tower. In order to ampify the signifiance of the natural light the design is only allow one light source to penetrate into the building.
Psychrometric Chart
The psychrometric chart diagram would provide the guidance to define the comfortability. In summer, the mean temperature is 28.3 and relative humuity is 83% which is out of the comfort zone. According to the diagram, it suggests that the design would use natural or mechanical ventilation to maintain the comfort of the environment. In winter, the mean temperature is 16.4, it is would not suitable for the living of human. According to the diagram, it would suggest the building would use passive solar heating to maintain the comfort of environment. In addition, if the temperature is higher than 7 and the relative humidity is lower than 20 percent, it is recommended to used evaporative cooling to maintain the comfort of the space.
Experimental Design
City as an artifect, it is a metaphor that is used to describe this city or community is undergo the evolution of stanley tectonic environment, such were inporportionate murray buildings to dismantle the harmony of stanley sea front and scale down the building of previously built, this tiny alteration would seems to change stanley's perspective which is designated by the political aspect instead of the decision that made from local resident. Therefore, the design is aim to create a sculptural form in order to provke the discussion of status quo of stanley. As the design has shown in the plan, those three blocks are represent different direction from causeway bay, stanley market, stanley main beach. Those are represent the connection with local community and they are all come up with the result of historical development.

When we imagine the space of this building through the graph, we would find that there is a huge morphing tower which is accommodate a kind of griant transforming space in inside and outside of building. The inside would be designed to provide dark space together with only one skylight on top. That kind of space would go beyond the superfical of current tectonic environment, simultaneously, it is pushing the existing build environs to its limit as well as inspire the people to compare their build environment by designated contrast which are respectively formed and being juxtaposed in a short distance.

Detail of facade
This detail is to design the assembly of cladding. It is proposed to use plain tile as the method of assembly and this method also create horizontal line on the exterior which have already shown in the 1 to 200 physical model.
As the design is a curvy form, thus, it is proposed to use trIangular structural system in order to translate the curvature into different surface. Those surface would give advantages to the assembly of stone tile cladding system. The cladding system is hang on the steel rod which is welded onto the main structure as well. The steel rod would provide the freedom of stone tile fabrication and freeze the trangulate restriction casued by main structure system. In addition, the main structure would also carry the loading of interior walk way which is transfered the loading through the cantilever structure. Moreover, the cladding system have designed to incorporate with building service requirement (water pipe, ventilation and etc.)

Secondary structure
Clay tile
Building Service (water pipe)
Physical model
Base on previous design of building facade, the study has to carry out the fabrication of 1 to 10 physical model which is aim at comprehend the sequence of assembly and the materiality. They are essential element to constitute designated spatial atmosphere. During the process of fabrication, it finds that the plain tile is diffcult to install. However, the steel rod have increased its flexability, on the other words, it is facilitate the process of construction and reduce the time cost.
