Guess what the first day of December is whoop!! Another year closer to dying JKJK, :’))) and the wish I have for my birthday is never die out and will stay as a club on c upperclassmen graduate!! Anyways, the ter and our seniors will go away and new offic want to say how happy and grateful I am you guys for the term of 22 23! It has truly be enjoyed every bit of it while spending time with all of you. Every single one of you tha events, volunteering opportunities have a ve heart and am so proud of each and one continue to serve for your community forev all of the officers are willing to help any o anything you need! COC and AOC fina goodluck to all of you!! Don’t forget to get rest, and stay sparkling uni acorns!! <3

It's the final stretch! The first semester of the academic year is done, and Fall Rally officially marks the 22 23 Key Club term being officially more than halfway done. In around a month or two, a new LTG for our division will be elected :000, so underclassmen get excited! Contests es for District Convention are also coming up too. I am truly to see what will come of AOC Key Club and D16N, but that's her time! Anyways, this past month, as you all know, FALL inally arrived! It was a blast meeting new people and ng our lit and crazy chants during the spirit rally!!! We gave it even though we didn't make it pass the first round, it was still n. The end of the year is near, which is bittersweet for us fellow Rest up uni acorns, and bundle up for the winter season and AHHHHHH! If you ever need any help, as always, don't hesitate

Thank you to everyone who came out to Fall Rally and all our other events the past month - we love seeing all of you getting involved in everything! I hope finals go well for all of you and that you have a restful winter break. Key Club will be back and better than ever next semester so make sure to keep up when we return to school!

It's already December? It's like school just started :') so many exciting things happened last month, my favorite being fall rally! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it, we really appreciate it. Be excited for our very last meeting this semester because it's going to be a fun one! *shout out to all of you who donated dues, I <3 u*

COC CAMPUS COC CAMPUSccleanup leanup

On November 15th, The Breathe Initiative hosted a Campus Cleanup at College of the Canyons!

Groups of students and members were given the opportunity to partake and assist in a cleanup around the COC campus, with a particular emphasis on the disposal of tobacco and nicotine waste. Additionally, The Breathe Initiative team hope to promote public awareness of the consequences of cigarette litter as chemicals and heavy metals in tobacco constitute a major hazard to the environment. As a result, this offer came to be and gave many participants a good chance to accommodate their surroundings and collaborate with others to make our campus more environmentally clean! We would like to express our gratitude to the COC facilities for supplying the supplies and materials for the event. Moreover, big props to the whole cleanup team that accomplished in retrieving more than 100 cigarette butts in such a brief span of time!

Share The Love Volunteer Opportunity Exclusive Interview!

I interviewed a volunteer who went to Share the Love, hosted by the WiSEducation Foundation. Here’s the scoop!

How was the overall experience?

→ "The overall experience was good, I enjoyed being there with the other volunteers. They were very nice and friendly overall! The only thing that was not that enjoyable was that I didn’t bundle up much, as it was so cold that night. My hands were freezing! :("

What were the activities you assisted with?

→ "My friend and I were on parking duty, so we guided cars which were either VIP, general, or press, and we guided them to their parking spaces!"

What was your favorite part of volunteering?

→ "My favorite part of volunteering was probably just chatting with my friend about topics we wanted to catch up on and connecting with the other volunteers from other schools!"

DIVISION DIVISION updates updates

HEY UNI-ACORNS!!!

I hope all of you had an amazing Thanksgiving break and ate some good food. I felt so proud seeing so many of you at Fall Rally. I had a great time and I hope you all did as well. If you liked Fall Rally, then stay on the lookout for even more events from our division. Hope to see you all at these future events.

The term is slowly coming to a close and Caleb is looking for a new Unicorn to take charge!

Interested in being the NEXT Lieutenant Governor for our division? Attend CTC, or Candidate Training Conference with Region 7 and Region 10 to learn the duties and responsiblities of an LTG and how to run as a candidate for LTG!

FALL RALLY FALL RALLYssouth outh

Fall Rally South, the second biggest district-wide event, took place on November 12, 2022, right here in the Santa Clarita Valley at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was a monumental event, with not only unicorns, but Key Clubbers from California, Nevada, and Hawaii came together to celebrate Key Club spirit by participating in the spirit rallies and bidding for the Pediatric Trauma Program. Members woke up bright and early to arrive at the park at 7 AM where we waited until the rest of D16N arrived and walked into the park together. Our 9 AM rally session was the first one, and we couldn’t be more excited! All the spirit sessions and practicing the chants were in preparation for winning that spirit stick against the eight other divisions in the theater! Pink, white and gold flooded the Golden Bear Theater, along with the rest of the region 7 and 10 divisions. Congratulations to the D16S White Tigers for winning this session for the second year in the row!!! Even if we were not able to make it past the first round, we know our uni acorns cheered as loud as we could, and we could not be any more proud!

After the session, we all gathered to take a club picture with our lovely spirit stick made by Maria, Paru, Aiden and Claire! Thank you to these Uni-Acorns that stepped up and helped with making the club stick. We then took a division picture, and then split ways for the rest of the day to enjoy fun rides at Six Flags! Bonding with other members from D16N, or another division, screaming our hearts out, and cheering for our LTG and IP President, Caleb Kim, were just a few moments we will never forget from this year’s Fall Rally.

December 3rd was a day full of fun, food, and bracelets! Unicorns feeling post Fall Rally South depression gathered together at Valencia Meadows Park for our November DCM, Keysgiving! We had a potluck where members brought pizza, cookies, pasta, and more! We also took a division picture after eating and bonding, which soon led to a bracelet-making session, where members made bracelets! It was an intimate gathering as Unis ate some good food, made matching bracelets and watched the sunset together <3
