I hope you all had a wonderful winter break!! If you enjoyed the first semester of Key Club, get excited for everything we’ve got planned coming up like our second annual Secret Santa. I’m looking forward to another great semester with you all!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR UNI-ACORNS!!

It's already 2023, time flies by so fast it's scary I hope you guys have had an amazing term full of fun so far because I know I have! Honestly with the days passing I've become more nostalgic and sad with how different things are everyday but I'm super excited about the new things that'll happen this year! Look out for fun service projects as that will be our main goal for the next few months as well :) I love you guys and I know y'all will slay this semester jus like the last one! (A big shoutout to fundraising committee!! <3 u)

HELLO UNI-ACORNS!

My name is Aiden Chung and I am going to be one of the members of the AOC Key Club fundraising committee this school year! If I have to summarize myself, I would say I am a sleepdeprived freshman who loves music; my favorite genre is classical music and my favorite song (at the moment) is probably “Kill Bill” by SZA Even though I’ve only been in Key Club for a few months (when writing this), being a member has given me many positive memories that I’ll hold on to for years to come So my main goal for this year is to be able to spread the joy of Key Club to other students at AOC I hope to contribute to this by helping to host fun, engaging fundraisers so that we’ll be able to hold even more exciting events, and get others interested in checking out our club I’m looking forward to having a great 2023 with you-all <3!

1 My favorite memory of 2022 had to be Fall Rally! I was one of the selectedbiddersforourdivisionandTeddyandIwereabletowinthe District Treasurer, Marcus Fang! Fall Rally overall was a very fun experience and I was able to meet friends that I made on instagram becauseofKeyClub!

Key Club wise, my favorite memory was definitely OTC or Beach cleanup. In general, my favorite memory of 2022 was my second period MW opens back in second semester junior year <3 I loved walking down to COC and getting curly fries and iced coffee with my friends and spending the bookstore voucher money on more snacks!(spending $5+ twice a week was not good for my bank account but oh well)

In 2023, I am looking forward to March Madness because me and Joni will destroy all of y’all. LOL JK? Fr tho to second semester of senior year in general with senior trips, talent show, MM, DCON and PROMMM/SENIOR DANCE :DDD Lit. Crazy. Movie.

My favorite memory from 2022 has to be beach cleanup back in June It was great seeing everyone from all the regions and I was able to create new bonds with so many people, many of which who are very close to me now! The activities were great and honestly a great excuse to go hangout by the beach (while also doing service ofc)

I'm most excited about DCON!! It's coming up and it'll be cool to see our new elect LTGS become actual ones and also oversee and participate in the district election (that elects the new dgov sec and treas) I'm also just really excited to be hanging out with many of my friends from other divisions as well! crazy fun experiences

My favorite Key Club memory was going to Afternoon Tea for Circle of Hope. I got to learn many things, such as making rose tablecloths and I enjoyed talking with adults about their booths. My favorite memory for 2022 in general was definitely the time when I opened my first Enhypen album and pulled my bias!

In 2023, I’m most excited to go to Japan over Spring Break. I can’t wait to eat the delicious food, go sightseeing, and most importantly spend all my money on the world’s largest Gashapon. Blissful. Sweet. Memories.

2022 was filled with a bunch of unforgettable memories, but some of my personal favorites are going to dance studios, playing games, and spending days + overnights with my friends! Additionally, throughout AOC, my highlight memory is for sure being with my group during open periods and having after-school parties (plus i also got the chance to attend kc’s fall rally, which was sooo much fun; except for the part where we had to wake up super early )

I’m looking forward to the new semester and all the new stuff coming soon in 2023 (aka march madness and coc)! super sick year

Host club & board meetings

Delegate tasks and ensure completion

Provide and promote service projects for the members

Set feasible goals for the year

Record meeting minutes of all club and board meetings.

Record the service hours of all members of the club

Compile the roster of every member in the club

Complete & submit the Monthly Report Form (MRF) each month

Readily available to fill in for President when needed

Run and create club committees

Serve as a liaison between board and members

Assign and delegate tasks to committees and officers

Ensure that membership dues are turned into school’s Key Club account to pay dues

Prepare a financial report for the club board

Create an annual budget

Complete the Member Update Center (MUC) after dues are collected

Update & maintain the club website and social media

Produce a monthly newsletter

Send in articles & visuals to the Division News Editor

Create promotional materials to spread over the web, on social media, and in person
