INTRODUCTION The Fresh in City is a project of development urban village in China. With the booming of the economic in Wenzhou, China, Wangzeng village is the village transformed from the native village by rapid urbanisation and industrialisation in the economic advanced regions. The intention of the project is going to investigate the relationship between urban village and the new urban context, transform it allows fitting into the current and future urban city. The project aims to propose a flexible strategy that can both support the commercial development of the area and address the needs of residents who are living around. As the development around the Wangzeng Village, it destroys the strong community of residents live in the high raised apartments, and creates many issues for the village. So solutions for these are using urban and village’s activities reviving and reactivating the edge space of the city and the village, thickening the boundary by plug in the activities in order to create social values and economical opportunities. So based on the abundant and changeful living habits of the urban village, the proposal is demonstrating the shifts and flexible of the space through different types of urban furniture. All the furniture was designed and located due to the living patterns of the residents and the needs of the space. They are available to change and move to feed the different needs of different people in different time. So the shift and flexible ideas are not only on the furniture but also the space. The new space designed by using activities has the permeability adapt into surrounding neighbourhoods to bring the change to the city and back to the village in order to solve the issues of both sides.

City buses are the common traffic tools for residents travel inner city, it will take them 10minutes or less to walk to the bus station and that’s the favourite travel method for them to go to city centre or go to work. Currently there have 8 bus stops around the village and 10 different routes operating to different places in city. As the growing of population in this district, there will have 6 more stops and 10 more bus routes operating by 2019. Around 2% of the villagers have their own vehicles, which is around 120 cars and 50 motor bikes. But that number will increase in the future as the increase of the population and incomes.
