1. Bus Spot B achelor thes is _indi vi d ua l
The main subject of the thesis was the design of a set of bus stops for the needs of Athens and its citizens based on ecodesign principles and taking into account the character of the city. The principal goal was the creation of temporary spaces that will emit a familiar environment while providing everything that is needed for its users. The construction must be in harmony with the style and the atmosphere of Athens, and the intense rhythms of the citizens. inspiration The source of inspiration for the design were the traditional ways of shading in the Greek countryside, and the assimilation of their basic design principles, such as the austerity of the figures, and the integration into the surrounding space.
traditional greek ways of shading
The second method of approaching the design of the bus stops is modular design. A module is used, the multiplication of which creates different sets. The size of these sets varies depending on the space and frequency of use.
The basic construction consists of 6 fixed Modular Units including 6 convertible seats and 6 shelters. The metal pipes are the variable component of the structure and act as a support for the fixed units, the information panel on the left and a horizontal glass surface at the top for extra protection against weathering such as rain. On the right side, the pipes act as a frame for the climbing plant and as a parking space for bicycles. In addition, the bus stop is completed with a sign for the station name, and optionally by a ticket machine, a trash bin and an ashtray and seats at the back of the fixed elements. The entire construction is supported on a platform.

seating details
Along with the bus stops design, came up the design of public benches. Their design philosophy is identical to that of the bus stop seats. Also in this case, the concept of MODULAR design is being implemented, as according to the two basic design for benches, their multiples have been developed. The main material of the urban furniture is compressed wood responding to ecodesign principles.
2. Cultural spaces 4t h year of B achelor degr ee_inter ior ar chi te c ture _ gro up o f 2
The main goal for this project was the reuse and redesign of a cultural building ,the Laurion Technological Park, located at the south part of Attica. Built in the 19th century,it used to be Îą metal factory and today it has been declared preserved but has no current use.
conceptual model
As an inspiration source for the design was used the chinese puzzle, tangram. The tangram symbolizes the excisting shell, the industrial building with signs of time and history on it.
The basic fuctions of the building are: _the theater In the southern part of the building. Α polyhedral construction which also acts as a lighting source at night _the reception that unites the gallery with the cafe/bar and the theater _the staircase, that also functions as an excibition space where the visitors can watch the visual projections at the brickwall of this historic building. It gives access to the different levels and uses, such as the library and the workshop space.

The overall design was inspired and based in the diagonal lines resulting from the puzzle of tangram. These lines are interpreted as linear lightning in the cafe/bar, at the shell of the theater and spatially in the library/workshop and the staircase. About the materials, the red brick of the exterior walls was maintened in order to hightlight the industrial identity of the building,as well as the doors and windows’ style. The bearing structure was combined with concrete flooring and modern materials such as glass and led lightning.
3. Maison 4 x 4
er as mus pr oject_ar chitectur e_g ro up o f 3
The goal for this project was the creation of a residence for a familly of 3, having known that the total width and length of the house has to be 4m x 4m, and the total height as prefered. The limitation of the two dimensions led to the height exploitation. Thanks to the location of the house which is embedded in a mountain, the main entrance is located at the middle of the building. This allows an easy access and circulation of the guests in the common areas: the dining room, the living room and the patio. The intimate spaces (the bedrooms, the bathrooms and the kitchen) are pussed at the ends of the house, providing comfort and privacy for the parents and the child. The parents are installed at the top of the residance, with direct access to the patio and the child at level -3 with direct access to the garden. Α basic element of the design are the large windows in order to take advantage of the sun light and its function during the day.

4. Mani Tower 3r d y ear of B achelor d e g re e _ A r chitectur al inter vention in a His tor ic Bui l d i ng _ individua l p ro j e c t
The greek region of Mani at the southern Peloponnesse is a place of great historical significance, with rugged natural beauty and distinctive architecture. The absolute expression of Mani’s traditional architecture are the tower houses. Tall and narrow stone buildings with small openings which were used as loopholes. The tower was the center of life in the world of Mani, and enclosed in its walled-in courtyard a small society with a strictly patriarchal hierarchy. The current tower of the project was built in 1757 and is a typical example of Mani building. It is mainly made by local stone and gravel (for proofing), has 4 levels and α pitched roof from wood and tiles. Due to the tourist upgrade of the area, the tower is reused as 2 independend guest houses, dividing in half the building in height. Τhe bearing structure is reserved respecting the traditional style and historical importance of the house. The other materials are different types of wood as elements of harmonisation with the environment, modern materials such as concrete and metal details as a reference to the present and neutral tones of fabrics. At the 3rd level, a minimal cube is designed as an extension the upper guest house.

5. Schoolyard design 2nd y ear of B achelor p ro g ra m _ individual p ro j e c t
The purpose of the project was to redesign the schoolyard of a primary school in western Athens in the boundaries of the existing exterior space and its integration into the building. The main design concept was based on the curvature and the creation of infinite paths in order to create a free open space, child and adult friendly. Through a combination of curved elements, the essential green spots, toys, sports facilities and open spaces are created to suit the needs of both the students and the teachers. Regarding the color palettes, neutral shades of grey and white are used in combination with intense color elements in playground equipment, paths and terraces.
6. [Out]opias 1 week pr oject_public d e s i g n_ g ro up o f 3
The overall design source of this project was the novel “The Invention of Morel by Argentine writer Adolfo Bioy Casares and its connection with the needs of the public area. The basic idea of designing this proposal was the creation of a free circulation in the public space, with fixed points at the same time. This resulted in the first form of the space with three fixed points as they are interpreted by the three fixed elements of the book. At the same time free spaces are created that surround the above fixed points. The main purpose of this specific design proposal is to create a sustainable and enjoyable communal space for the locals. The design is based on the use of cheap materials and objects of everyday use, easily manageable, such as pallets, rope, caulk, wooden beams, cloth. The cube is used as the basic shape as it exudes stability while at the same time it is a legible shape familiar to everyone. The goal the project is the socialization of the residents and visitors of the area, the serving of their needs, the revival of the neglected neighborhood as well as the provision of a space suitable for artistic events and actions such as theater, music, etc.

7. Dual apartment pr oject dur ing inter ns hip_individua l d e s i g n
Located in an old Athenian apartment building in Omonoia, the apartment of 60 sq.m. designed to serve two different uses: 1. A space free of furniture, suitable for hosting small-scale exhibitions 2. A residance that meets the needs of a young couple. Maintaining the bearing structure, the floor tiles and the raw concrete ceiling, a minimal space was created, designed with simple lines and neutral color shades. The kitchen and bathroom have the ability to be covered behind glass or wooden panels creating united surfaces for the needs of an exhibition. In addition, there is a wooden structure in the living area that functions as a raised living room or as a showroom. The basic materials that are used are the wood, the existing grey tiles, exposed concrete and sandblasting.
