RedesignMouse for PC

Be able to think and design one object, knowing his mechanism and the internal functioning. 3D Modelling of an object, give us, in first place, the complete intellectual knowledge of the way the internal pieces bound, in one realistic picture. The redesign requires a better performance of the new object, as opposed the older one, in the way the final buyer sees it in the way the object is industrial produced.

The disassembly process is a delicate process but at the same time can give to the designer the big picture of individual parts as all. This way, designer have the ability to know actually which piece we can modernize and optimize not just of that piece but also of the function and the industrial process. So, the ‘change’ it’s subtle and the result is powerful.

Urban Design

The basis of this project was round and organic shapes. Basically this bench, with foot support, was the main inspiration and the first object of the project. Beside his shape, also functionality was thought and structured, with an special attention to the info display for turists, which is flexible to all users, including users with special needs, so everyone can use this equipment. The lighting was divided in 3 tipes, lower, upper and for drivers. The lower is destiny to illuminate walkers paths and small rails on a garden. The upper lighting is mainly for general public illumination at night. The illumination for drivers have traphic lights, which obbey to certain rules, as much as they accomplish the primary function. But we have a special attention to design it with less waste possible.

Stage Design

Urban Design

Stage Design was a final project wich aims total development of one Opera, in the case Salome of Richard Strauss. And total development means designing scenography, communication, cloths, mood, acessories, everything that is important on a Opera. But also the public target was defined because we want to take the Opera to new people and to many as possible. To accomplish the task was necessary know the Opera and also all the ‘ways’ it as been shown. This project was group project (Ana Peres, Ana Polido, Margarida Naves, Rita Correia, Sílvia Caniço), and pretends simulate after college working enviroment. For that, work division and good team work were two main factors for the sucess of this project.

Salome, with an impulsive temper, feel in love with Jochanaan. He was captive by Herodes, King of Judeia. Herodes was stepfather of the young woman, and he can’t hide the sexual attraction he feels for her, which triggers a certain rivalry between Salome and her mother the queen. The platonic love of Salome for Jochanaan, is widely rejected by him, making her a bitter and obsessed woman prepared for everything to gain the object of her love, with limits and coming into a direct conflict with her mother and queen, Herodiade, struggling for power and control over King Herodes. Salome conquest stays on standby culminating in her own death.

Stage Design Opera scenography, as on any other show, is a central piece of the show. The public absorbs immediately from the stage and initially the scenography, which it gives first impression of the play and condition public thoughts. So, it’s crucial demonstrate the concept as also the tension between the characters. Designing equipment for the scenography it’s necessary a full consciousness of the play and the intrigue. The scenario is white, giving the idea of an open book where everything is possible. But another structures are necessary and with literary reference, such as the gap.

Stage Design On the play, the gap is static and therefore obsolete is changed acquiring mobility so the characters can interact and also allows the visual communication with the spectator. King Herodes, being static increases the surrounding tension of the character with himself and forced others characters interact more with him. This character will always be

seated on his throne. Here he is huge, proporcional to he character with elastic cables attach to him, like puppets... at the end is what he really is. The throne will be fixed to the structures - scaffolding - such the stairs will be. The stairs will allow that all the caracters moved freely and interact with King Herodes.
