HEAD OF GLOBAL PRECLINICAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT M/F Permanent position
As Director, your activities are to lead, manage and develop a preclinical (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control, CMC) Global Development team (25-30 persons) located in different European country sites in order to fulfil the needs of all key brands of the GBU dedicated for self-medication products. This include to develop new products in OTC Drug, Medical Device for global geographical roll out, maintain marketed products and take part in transversal group on innovation. Your missions: • Develop formulations of high quality standards for cosmetics, medical devices and pharmaceuticals and their manufacturing process, including scale-up, pilot and production batches, clinical trial material supply & analytics • Ensure product quality of marketed products within the product life cycle as part of the change control and deviation process, including raw material sourcing • Support the GBU with all relevant R&D information and know-how, particularly on product / formulation technology. Ensure deliverables of project decision • Develop strong partnership with R&D to ensure appropriate transfer of activities and deliverables and represent the GBU activities at R&D decision meetings • Report to VP Global Development ; Execute CMC activities in line with Scientific Division - Global Portfolio and Project Management Department • Lead, support and provide a vision to the CMC global team and propose strategy to support short, mid and long term objectives • Set up adequate Quality documentation in view of potential inspection and/or audits, • Liaise with Head of Global Clinical Operations, Claim coordination, Regulatory Affairs to ensure global deliverables and ensure alignment with Marketing requirements You hold a PharmD, PhD in a chemistry or equivalent. You have more than ten years’ experience in industry (Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, and/or Biotech) and a proven track record of developing selfmedication projects to market. Team leadership, change leadership, organizational sense, initiative, anticipation and innovation aptitudes are a requisite for this position. Fluent in English, German and/or French is a plus.
