Over the past 10 or so years, the pace of software and product development has increased. There’s a few reasons for this. One is the popularity of the web and mobile platforms. As more applications have migrated to the web browser and mobile applications, teams were able to leave their legacy desktop code behind. Also, since the web and mobile have their own built-in distribution channels, it was no longer necessary to box up your software product and sell it in a store.
PROJECT Proposal
Another factor influencing the pace of software and product development is the increased popularity of development processes like Agile, Scrum, Lean, and Extreme programming.
Reminderx
While these different processes differ slightly in their details, the common thread is that they all focus on the development of working software or pieces of software, breaking down software construction into manageable chunks, developing features iteratively, and focusing on continuous, or at least short episodic delivery timeframes such as weekly or every two weeks. This practice of delivering weekly or biweekly is generically known as a “sprint”.

Activities 01
Identify & Research ● Create user personas ● Conduct user interviews ● Find target users ● Discover user needs ● Document findings
The information gathered in this phase of the process will detail the target users. The data collected will help to pinpoint the users' wants and needs. Collected data will then analyzed and documented in the form of a user experience brief. This will be used to begin the design process.
02
Plan & Design ● Workflows ● Wireframes ● User journey ● Design feedback & iteration
Once research is gathered, mapping the user journey will outline their process for meeting their goals. This phase will focus on activity within the application and initial visual design elements will be added in the later stages. Annotations, feedback, and iterations are crucial during this phase.

REMINDERX PROJECT PROPOSAL
Digital Render ● Wireframes
03
● Digital annotated design mockup ● Feedback & iteration of design
After the initial planning and design has been approved, a digital render of the application wireframes will be designed. This phase also relies heavily on feedback and iterations to produce a digital annotated design mockup of the application.
Test & Finalize ● Create test materials
04
● Conduct user testing ● Iterations from results ● Finalize design
Test materials will be created for final user testing of the digital render. User testing will be conducted to ensure that the application is meeting all of the project goals and user needs. Iterations from these tests will be implemented and a final design will be produced.
