BILL & KIM SNIDER ASIA PACIFIC MEDIA
Where It All Comes Together My faith journey began in college at the University of Illinois. We found an incredible church, and it was a “Kairos moment”– a God moment– where it seemed that weekby-week, month-by-month, God was doing remarkable things in people’s lives. Out of the group that was a part of the church during a five-year period, there were over 50 of us that went into cross-cultural ministry. It is an excellent memory, but it also reminds me of an important truth. There are moments– God moments– when there are the right people in the right place with a clear vision to do the right thing. I have been in ministry long enough to realize that this does not happen all the time. In this e-issue of Mission magazine, you will see how God is working through our Manila-based ministry to reach and restore lives in the Philippines. It still amazes me that God is using our small 12-person Filipino and Chinese creative team to influencing most remote areas of Asia Pacific with the gospel of Jesus Christ. His Message, Multiplied—This is where it all comes together. This is our Kairos moment, and we are walking through doors that no one has had the chance to walk through before Thank you for your commitment to help us get there for God’s Glory! 350,000 people in ONE DAY
Many Filipino congregations around the world and in the U.S. used the video for their Advent services. More than 350,000 people in one day. That is how many people watched AP Media’s original Christmas short-film, Ang Regalo (The Gift), on the day it was released to social media.
A top-notch videographer from the UK and a director and editor from the Philippines collaborated to make the film that utilizes a young Filipino couple as a modern-day Joseph and Mary.
“This short film, a modern-day retelling of the birth of Jesus, was produced with one purpose in mind— to be a culturally-relevant way to reach Southeast Asia with the real meaning of Christmas,” Bill Snider, AP Media Director, says. Many
By using powerful visual storytelling, the film follows the couple’s adventure on a motorcycle to the miraculous birth of Christ in a rural setting. With a modern twist catered to today’s culture, the film creates a connection sure to reach multiple audiences in

two video segments combined that put the short film at just over 5 minutes. A large international church in Jakarta used it in all their services and satellite congregations. As many people first visit a church on Christmas, there was much anticipation for the possibilities of the film reaching out to new audiences and planting the seed for new believers in the faith. AP Media created a Thunderclap campaign where viewers were able to watch the movie and share it immediately on their Facebook or Twitter social media profiles. On Facebook alone, the film had 458 shares and more than 14,500 views from its original post. The film caught the attention Dindo Marzan of onevive.com. VVive, a multimedia platform for news, entertainment and user-generated content, provides digital millennial content to users on any
device at any time. Through various social media outlets, we’ve seen several positive reviews of Ang Regalo. “Awesome film!” says Facebook follower Johnny Nadela. “Keep it coming, guys! For the Lord!” Cecil Santos encouraged others to watch the film. “Need to look at this!” he says. “This is a perfect gift for many Christmases to come. God bless AP Media.” To view “Ang Regalo” in its entirety, visit www.apmedia.org/ph/regalo. —JENNIFER TAYLOR

AP Media partners, thank you for helping us use radio to see His Message, Multiplied across Asia Pacific. In the Philippines, Pag-asang Para Sa’yo (PPSY), a weekly 30-minute radio program, gives listeners biblically-based answers to tough questions of life. The program, aired with a guest counselor, addresses these issues through sermons, talk shows, and listener
Q&A. Each week, a guest counselor responds to actual listener letters. PPSY, which is currently available in Taglish, is produced in partnership with The Philippines General Council of the Assemblies of God and AP Media. Through PPSY alone, we’re able to see His Message, Multiplied on over 20 stations in the Philippines. February/March 2016 e-issue [7.]

The island nation of the Philippines is home to over 100 million people—and there are 15 million people in Manila alone. This small island is a vast mission field and the home which AP Media central headquarters have taken root in for more than 27 years. “Filipinos are very syncretistic people,” says Bill. “They are very open spiritually. 80% are born into Catholicism, so they embrace the idea of a creator God, but mix in beliefs from other faiths. They see a spirit doctor when they are sick, a fortune teller when they are unhappy, and they go to mass on Sunday to make sure they are “ok with God”—and they have no problem with the incongruities of those beliefs. We try to deal with the practicalities of life and show them God is more, that He provides transformation and wants to be involved and help them with every area of life.” Aside from Bill and Kim Snider, the central AP Media office is staffed by a creative team of 12 Filipino and Chinese workers who are focused on the mission to see “His Message, Multiplied” not only in their country but all of Asia Pacific. AP Media’s resources are developed by this team and set up to work in the marketplace and with non-believers. That is not all. The team goes one step further to train Christians in the media field in other countries of Asia Pacific to use digital
technology to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ farther and faster than ever before. His Message, Multiplied to reach Asia Pacific— this is the heartbeat of AP Media! PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR MINISTRY TO THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES
1. Finding creative professionals— We need more workers from the West, both long and short-term people of all ages who are skilled in video and media production. We need script writers, drama directors, technology professionals, and people who are good with the Internet and social media to come alongside us. 2. Networking with professionals in-country—We need Godengineered relationships within the countries we are working. 3. Spiritual guidance and inspiration— We have a strong commitment to developing tools to reach unreached people, especially Muslims and Buddhists. We need guidance from the Lord and favor from people who can help us create these stories. 4. Foundational funding for APMedia in Manila—It costs $50 an hour to provide for our operations funding. We need this to grow our ministry in Indonesia and throughout Asia. Thank you for your prayer and support of AP Media’s strategic opportunities in the Philippians! —JUDI MURPHY

HIS MESSAGE, MULTIPLIED
MAKING THE GOSPEL ACCESSIBLE Not only does AP Media create life-changing messages, but we also offer many for free or at a reduced cost because we believe God’s message shouldn’t have any barriers like cost. MOMS Magazine is just one example of a resource that you help AP Media provide for FREE to bless mothers and reach families in the Philippines. The group photo on the left, sent by Grace Anne Compahinay, is of the Women’s Group at Taal Bible Church in Batangas, Philippines. In fact, during the holidays, a church partnered with MOMS and Men In Progress to put together the Christmas Eve meal food parcels (left) delivered to needy families. Our goal is to deliver AP Media resources to pastors, cell groups, clinics, churches, young adult groups and even prisons. Because of partners like you, we can impact Filipinos as well as people across the Asia Pacific at all levels and in all stages of life with the love of Christ

REACHING ASIA PACIFIC
1,115 PEOPLE GROUPS in Asia Pacific have yet to hear the gospel. For $50 an hour you can help us change that.
APMEDIA PARTNER CHALLENGE As a faithful AP Media partner, each and every day you literally “keep the lights on for us”—allowing our 12-person creative team to start another day in the Asia Pacific Media office. $50 an hour…$400 a day...$2,800 a week YOU MAKE OUR MINISTRY POSSIBLE! Our team is already hard at work in Manila, Taipei, and Hong Kong and soon, Japan. We also have a prime opportunity utilize media in Myanmar to impact the Buddhist world, and we are aggressively seeking to expedite these projects. AP Media will also train Indonesian believers and churches to use media to share the gospel message in a culturally relevant way. This year we believe God will provide 100 new foundational partners. We need 100 additional partners to give an hour or more of ministry support per month to reach Asia Pacific. Can you prayerfully consider giving or increasing your monthly gift by an hour ($50), a day ($400) or even a week of ministry support ($2,800)? Even if you are unable to give $50 a month, all smaller gifts will be combined to cover an hour of ministry to reach Asia Pacific. Thank you for being one of 100 today to see His Message, Multiplied.
