supporting our community
Who are we ?
Freemasons on the Central Coast is a charitable organisation established from within Freemasonry to assist Central Coast community groups. It is a registered charity operated by Freemasons. We’re probably best known for supporting Surf Life Saving Central Coast by purchasing safety equipment, IRBs and of course, the pink rashies! However, we’ve helped many other Central Coast community groups and have donated in excess of $1.2 million to the local community since 2009.
...but what is Freemasonry? Freemasonry is one of the oldest worldwide fraternal organisations and seeks to promote moral and personal development amongst its members. It aims to help good men become better men by encouraging the application of masonic principles in everyday life. Its core values include caring for others, helping those in need and acting always with honesty and integrity. It offers a unique and rewarding experience to men from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion or social status. We believe that respecting and understanding our differences is a crucial step towards building communities and societies with true harmony and peace.
Freemasonry puts its principles into practice through its charitable activities. We believe in interacting and working closely with our local communities to help all people, thereby assisting both individuals and their community as a whole.
Why do we give?
Need our help? All you need to do is ask!
We don’t give cash; we purchase the items you require for you. Simply send an email to us at application@ FreemasonsCC.org with a brief description of your organisation and what it is you need. We’ll be in-touch. There are a couple of requirements: 1.
Funds can ONLY be used within the Central Coast LGA;
2. Along with your application and disclaimer forms, we require two current quotes from different suppliers for the items you are requesting. In honouring the values of Freemasonry, members strive to incorporate these values in their daily lives – as brothers, husbands, partners, sons, friends and neighbours – and actively involve themselves in opportunities to support and care for the community around them. This sets a positive example, effects change on an everyday basis, and is achieved by participation in charity events, volunteering, providing elder care, supporting community clubs and organisations etc.
And that’s it!
We do ask your permission to tell the wider community of our support and, if possible, we appreciate being able to put our logo on the donated items or, if appropriate, hang a small plaque.
