Central Hawke’s Bay Prefects 2021
The Prefects team is responsible for leading their peers in each of their portfolios throughout the year. Prefects have responsibilities for Cultural, Academic, Community and Sporting areas of the school.

2020 Dux Litterarum BOT Student Representative

The Heads of School are leading role models of the school values which are an important part of school life at Central Hawke’s Bay College. Johanna Nieuwenhuis, had the honour of receiving Dux for the 2020 academic year. This year she is attending Auckland University and studying Medicine.
2021 House Captains
House Captains play an important part in the running of the sporting and cultural Inter-House events that are held each year. Their experience and encouragement allow students to excel in these extra curricula activities. Year 11 student Cove Lambert is the Student Representative on the Board of Trustees and is currently studying Level 1 NCEA.

Erina Sciascia-Bland, Logan Kingi, Toby Coppinger, Riley Ball. House Captains fulfil a vital role in leading their Houses through an array of cultural and sporting events throughout the year. They are expected to lead by example and support each Inter House event and encourage their House to participate to the best of their ability. Leadership opportunities are offered at each Year level within the school. Each year students from each year level form Leadership Groups, which organise and run various events for their year level. The opportunity to show and grow leadership skills and work with others is an important step in developing our young leaders of the future.
