O
n behalf of the board of the Art Deco Trust – Welcome to the Art Deco Festival Napier! The Art Deco Trust’s mission is to “preserve, restore, celebrate and promote Napier’s Art Deco heritage”. This is our annual celebration and a very special commemoration as this year we proudly Salute to the Services as 2021 marks the 90th anniversary of the Hawke’s Bay Earthquake and the 80th anniversary of the Royal New Zealand Navy. We are celebrating the vision of the people of Hawke’s Bay and beyond who rebuilt with speed, foresight, and courage. The Art Deco Trust’s Festival is a jubilant honouring of the cities, inclusive and fun for everyone. If you have not enjoyed this fabulous festival before, take a look, dress up or down and immerse yourself in some frivolity and frolics that are underpinned by our distinctive
architecture and the hard-working people that make the region so vibrant. Thank you, Napier City Council, Hastings District Council, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, Business Sponsors, the Military, Volunteers, Revelers, Staff, and the people of Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand you are all helping to preserve and protect the important fabric and culture of Art Deco.

ome join our team! The Art Deco Trust is a charitable organisation comprised of Retail, Walks & Tours and of course, the Art Deco Festival. Our volunteers
are passionate about Art Deco and also the city of Napier, and the Trust is incredibly grateful to the many hours given so generously. We are looking for more wonderful people to join our volunteer crew,
particularly over the busy summer period. If you are able to offer your time, we can provide a fantastic volunteer programme and the opportunity to meet other likeminded people.
We would love to hear from you, contact Abby Davies on walks@artdeconapier.com or phone 835 0022.
