ThE RED CEnTRE Australia’s stunning Red Centre represents the very heart of the Outback – and there’s no better way to get a close-up look at the remote interior of this vast country than by taking a tour. Over five days, this itinerary takes you from uluru to Alice Springs and everywhere in between. uluru features high on the wish list of many visitors to Australia. Also known as Ayers Rock, this gigantic monolith (it stretches to a height of 348 metres) has tremendous significance to the Anangu people, the local Aboriginal community who have called this area home for thousands of years. Nearby, Kata Tjuta – or the Olgas – offers a series of fascinating dome-like formations that you can walk under. You won’t want to miss sunset at uluru or Kata Tjuta, where the colours positively dance on the rocks due to the

One of Australia’s most unique destinations, it offers up a lush oasis of palm trees in the middle of the desert and is one of the lesser travelled natural wonders. a glimpse into the life of Silver Fern players Laura Langman, anna thompson and irene van dyk’s shenanigans when on tour in aussie: Q - if you could only take 2 items to aussie, what would you take and why? iREnE: iPhone and Massage therapist LauRa: Don’t judge me, but I’d take my running shoes haha and my man Adrian – we are the ultimate activities buddies!
Q - What’s your funniest ‘on tour’ story? LauRa: We had a week long stay in Perth one year and the closest ‘Cold Rock’ was a 20 minute train ride away. So my roomie and i caught the train there, ate our ice cream and then travelled back 20 minutes on the train lol It’s that good! anna: Getting tangled in a tense game of cat and mouse with parking authorities in Perth (we were way too clever)
Q - Who are the best roommates when on tour in aussie and why? iREnE: Laura, because she wakes up quite early and I don’t need to sleep in for that long, I really struggle to stay in bed or quiet for that long. LauRa: Katrina ‘pole’ Grant she loves ice cream as much as me and is always in for a good movie and joke. anna: Irene... she always has treats
Q - any cool aussie events you’d recommend checking out? LauRa & iREnE: Definitely recommend Dracula’s on the Gold Coast. You’re in for a hilarious night! Watching the replay of the train going through to Draculas dinner…the facials were priceless anna: Melbourne Cup or one of the many summer festivals iREnE: Barossa Valley in Adelaide Q - Where do you do your best aussie retail therapy training? LauRa: Melbourne – there are never enough hours in a day to see all the shops there!
