Περήφανοι Απολλωνίστες, Το φετινό ευρωπαϊκό οδοιπορικό της ομάδας μας το οποίο άρχισε από το μακρινό Άλυτους της Λιθουανίας στις 12 Ιουλίου με αντίπαλο την άσημη Στούμπρας, συνεχίζεται απόψε εδώ στο γνώριμο πλέον για εμάς ΓΣΠ, κόντρα στην πολυδιαφημισμένη ομάδα της Μαρσέιγ του Κωνσταντίνου Μήτρογλου και του Ντιμίτρι Παγιέτ.

Ο αγώνας κόντρα στους «μπλε» της Μασσαλίας, είναι ο πρώτος εντός έδρας αγώνας μας για τον 8ο όμιλο της διοργάνωσης, μετά την πρεμιέρα και την ήττα στο Ολύμπικο από την Λάτσιο με 2-1.

Στην τέταρτη παρουσία μας σε φάση των Ομίλων, η ομάδα μας θα επιδιώξει να συγκεντρώσει περισσότερους βαθμούς από κάθε άλλη φορά, επωφελούμενη από τις προηγούμενες εμπειρίες της.

Σίγουρα το έργο μας κόντρα σε Λάτσιο, Άιντραχτ και Μαρσέιγ, μόνο εύκολο δεν θα είναι, ωστόσο ο Σωφρόνης Αυγουστή και οι ποδοσφαιριστές του, παρουσιάζονται έτοιμοι να αφήσουν το στίγμα τους στον 8ο όμιλο της διοργάνωσης.

Τα μέχρι τώρα επιτεύγματα της ομάδας μας εντός και εκτός συνόρων, μας δίνουν το δικαίωμα ότι ήρθε η ώρα να πετύχουμε ακόμη πιο σπουδαία πράγματα στη διοργάνωση.

This year’s European tour of our team, which started from the distant Alytus of Lithuania on 12th of July against FC Stumbras, continues tonight here at the GSP Stadium, against the well-known Marseille team of Constantinos Mitroglou and Dimitri Payet.

The fight against the «Blues» of Marseille, is our first home game for the 8th Group of the tournament after the premiere and the defeat at Olympico from Lazio with 2-1 final score.

This season our team will seek to score more points than ever before, taking advantage from its past experience.

Certainly our mission against Lazio, Eintracht and Marseille will not be easy, however Sofronis Avgousti and his players are ready to leave their mark in the 8th Group of the tournament.

The so far achievements of our team inside and outside the borders give us the right to achieve even more important things in the tournament.

We are absolutely convinced that the fans of our team will have the opportunity to revive it and to live more historical moments with their pride Apollon FC.

ΕΙΜΑΣΤΕ ΠΙΟ ΑΠΑΙΤΗΤΙΚΟΙ. /We are more demanding.

Αισθάνομαι ιδιαίτερα περήφανος που ο αγαπημένος μας Απόλλωνας συνεχίζει με συνέπεια την ανοδική του πορεία των

τελευταίων ετών, συμμετέχοντας για τέταρτη φορά στους Ομίλους του UEFA Europa League. Επίτευγμα ασύλληπτο όχι μόνο για το εκτόπισμα του συλλόγου, αλλά γενικά για οποιαδήποτε ομάδα ανάλογου μεγέθους σε όλη την Ευρώπη. Είχα δηλώσει αμέσως μετά την ιστορική πρόκριση επί της Βασιλείας, ότι η φετινή μας παρουσία θα είναι πολύ πιο απαιτητική, σε σχέση με τις προηγούμενες. Λίγες ώρες αργότερα, η κλήρωση μας έβαλε πάρα πολύ δύσκολα, καθώς η παρουσία μας στον πιο δύσκολο όμιλο της διοργάνωσης, μας περιορίζει τις πιθανότητες διάκρισης, τις οποίες απόψε κόντρα στην περσινή φιναλίστ της διοργάνωσης, θέλουμε να αυξήσουμε εκμεταλλευόμενοι την έδρα μας. Ταυτόχρονα έχουμε μπροστά μας μια ακόμη μεγάλη ευκαιρία

να επωφεληθούμε ποικιλοτρόπως από την παρουσία μας στην διοργάνωση, αποκτώντας εμπειρίες και πάρα πολλά άλλα στοιχεία, τα οποία μας βοήθησαν τα προηγούμενα χρόνια.

Είμαι σίγουρος ότι οι ποδοσφαιριστές μου θα δώσουν τον καλύτερο τους εαυτό και ταυτόχρονα θα απολαύσουν ένα ονειρικό οδοιπορικό, το οποίο για μας είναι ιδιαίτερα ξεχωριστό. Το να ταξιδέψει και να αγωνιστεί σε μια αγωνιστική περίοδο σε επτά διαφορετικές πόλεις είναι μεγάλο επίτευγμα για τον Απόλλωνα, με την ευχή βεβαίως να αγωνιστούμε για πρώτη φορά στις ευρωπαϊκές διοργανώσεις Φεβρουάριο μήνα.

I feel particularly proud that our favorite Apollon has consistently continued its upward course in recent years, participating for the fourth time in the UEFA Europa League. This has been an inconceivable achievement not only for the significant amplitude of the club, but generally for any group of similar size across Europe. I have stated right after the Basel’s historic qualification that this year’s presence will be much more demanding than previous ones. A few hours later, the drawing set difficult targets for us, as our presence in the most difficult group of the competition limits our chances of qualification, which tonight against the last year’s finalist of the tournament, need to be increased by taking advantage of our seat. At the same time, we have a great opportunity to take advantage of our presence in the tournament, acquiring experiences and much more, which helped us in the past.

I am convinced that my players will give their best and at the same time enjoy a dream trip, which is significantly special to us. Το 1899, η Ολιμπίκ Μαρσέιγ (ΟΜ) ιδρύθηκε μετά από συγχώνευση μεταξύ της FCM (Football Club of Marseille) και της FOL Club (Football Club). The history of the team

In 1899, Olympique de Marseille was created after a merger between FCM (Football Club of Marseille) and the FOL Club (Football Club). The club appeared for the first time under the name OM in 1919, in a French championship final. Les Olympiens bested Bouches-du-Rhône and went on to win three French Cups (1924, 1926 and 1927) before becoming a fully professional side in 1932.

Les Olympiens’ history is threaded with high-profile stars and the glitz that accompanies them, but in Marseille, we do not go to the stadium, «we go to OM». The life of the city is dictated by the performance of «its» club. It’s like that from victory to defeat, the highs and lows, laughter and tears, joy and pain, wounds and benefits.

From the beginnings of Marseille football at the end of the 19th century to the more recent exploits of its stars, through 4 European finals (1991, 1993, 1999 and 2004) including the Champions League triumph on May 26, 1993 when Basile Boli scored the winner against AC Milan in the eternal «Coup de Boule». That win made OM the first and only French club to have ever raised the European Cup.

Yes, in Marseille life is coloured by the conquests and exploits of OM, its club for better and worse. Forever «Straight to Goal»! The motto that appears on the club’s crest, describing the legendary Marguerite, fiancée of René Dufaure de Montmirail, the founder of OM. It is an emblem illustrating the club’s identity and personality since 1899. The present is not enough, a club only becomes mythical when it has a past.

Μασσαλία

Μια από τις παλαιότερες πόλεις της Γαλλίας, με ιστορία 26 αιώνων, η Μασσαλία βρίσκεται στον κόλπο του Λέοντα στη δυτική Μεσόγειο και αποτελεί το σημαντικότερο λιμάνι της χώρας. Με περίπου 900.000 κατοίκους, η Μασσαλία είναι η δεύτερη μεγαλύτερη πόλη της Γαλλίας μετά το Παρίσι και ανήκει στην ευρύτερη ιστορική περιοχή της Προβηγκίας.

Ολόκληρη η αστική περιοχή γύρω από την Μασσαλία έχει περίπου 1,2 εκατομμύρια κατοίκους. Η Μασσαλία βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 12 μέτρων πάνω από την επιφάνεια της θάλασσας. Όμως, οι λόφοι βόρεια της Μασσαλίας, ξεπερνούν και τα 700 μέτρα σε ύψος. Ανατολικά της πόλης βρίσκονται οι εκβολές του ποταμού Ροδανού.

Η πόλη εξυμνείται στον εθνικό ύμνο της Γαλλίας, τη «Μασσαλιώτιδα»

που ονομάστηκε έτσι από τους Μασσαλιώτες στρατιώτες που τραγουδούσαν τον ύμνο στους δρόμους του Παρισιού.

Αποτελεί σταυροδρόμι πολιτισμών και πληθυσμών λόγω της γεωγραφικής της θέσης συνδυάζοντας απαράμιλλα το στιλ με την ιστορία. Τα ιστορικά μνημεία συνυπάρχουν με τα μοντέρνα κτίρια, ενώ το παλιό λιμάνι στολίζουν γραφικά σπίτια στο χρώμα της τερακότας.

Το διάσημο κάστρο-φυλακή Chateau d’If βρίσκεται στον κόλπο που περιβάλλεται από τα φρούρια Σεν Νικολά και Σεν Ζαν και αποτέλεσε το 1845 πηγή έμπνευσης για το μυθιστόρημα «Κόμης Μοντεχρήστος» του Αλέξανδρου Δουμά.

Στον ιστορικό δρόμο La Canebiere, που αποτελούσε τον παράδεισο της υψηλής κοινωνίας της εποχής, θα ανακαλύψετε την τοπική κουζίνα της Μασσαλίας. Η «καλή μητέρα», όπως αποκαλούν οι ντόπιοι τον ναό Notre-Dame de la Garde βρίσκεται στο ψηλότερο φυσικό σημείο της πόλης. Χρονολογείται από το 1864 και την κορυφή των καμπαναριών του στολίζει το άγαλμα της Παναγίας με το βρέφος.

Ιστορικό μνημείο αποτελεί το φρούριο του Αγίου Ιωάννη και οι μεσογειακοί κήποι του καθώς επίσης το μουσείο των «Ρωμαϊκών Αποβαθρών» που βρίσκεται πάνω στα ερείπια των ρωμαϊκών αποθηκών του λιμανιού.

Κυρίαρχη θέση στην πόλη κατέχει το κτίριο της όπερας. Το παλιότερο κτίστηκε στα τέλη του 18ου αιώνα με αρχιτεκτονικό στυλ παρόμοιο με αυτό στα κτίρια της όπερας της Λυών και του Μπορντώ, στο παλιό λιμάνι, το κεντρικότερο σημείο της πόλης. Καταστράφηκε εντελώς από φωτιά το 1920 και ανοικοδομήθηκε στην συνέχεια σε σύγχρονο στιλ. Λειτουργεί όλους τους μήνες εκτός από τους θερινούς, ανεβάζοντας 6-7 όπερες ετησίως. Η Μασσαλία αποτελεί ιδανικό προορισμό για τους λάτρεις της τέχνης. Οι γκαλερί, τα μουσεία και η περίφημη όπερα της προσφέρουν μια ιδιαίτερη καλλιτεχνική πνοή στην πόλη.

Limassol

Limassol is the second largest city of Cyprus with a population of approximately 180,000. It is one of six districts and covers an area of 34.87 km2. Located on the southern coast, Limassol stretches around westward to the Paphos district, bordering with the district of Larnaca on the east and with Nicosia on the north. In addition to the recognized popularity as a tourism destination, Limassol is also an administrative and business centre, a port, a resort, the centre of the wine industry and home to many archeological sites.

The vivacious city centre, seems to offer a journey through time where the University with its bustling young students aiming for a brighter future is just a few streets away from the old market and ancient castle which link us to the past. Gracefully blending old with new continues, as across the seafront one can appreciate the cosmopolitan side of Limassol with its contemporary business structures and modern apartment buildings while only several kilometers away one can find charming areas with cobblestone streets, quaint buildings with overhanging terraces under which there are a profusion of small shops, restaurants and cafes.

The city of Limassol has a rich history that goes back to around the 2nd century B.C. The city is situated between the ancient cities of Amathous to the east and Kourion to the west. Limassol was inhabited since the very ancient years and tombs discovered there date back to around the

2nd century B.C., while others date back to around the 8th and 4th centuries B.C. The few ancient finds that were discovered show that a small settlement existed there which did not manage to develop and flourish.

The city, in the 10th century, was known as Nemesos and the Byzantine emperor, Constantine Porphyrogenitus, refers to this city with this name. The history of the city is mainly known for its events in 1191 A.D., which marked the end of the Byzantine Rule in Cyprus. Limassol was then surrendered to the Frankish Empire of the Lusignan Kings of the medieval Cypriot kingdom. For about three centuries (1192-1489), Limassol experienced a remarkable period of prosperity. In 1489 A.D., the Queen of Cyprus, Ekaterini Cornaro, surrendered Cyprus to the city of Venice. This lasted until the Turkish Occupation took place in 1570 A.D. Then the British conquered Cyprus in 1878, while in 1960 significant changes followed the liberation of Cyprus, which contributed to the cultural and artistic life of the city. Schools, theatres, art galleries, music halls and football clubs were formed and played a significant role in the cultural life of Limassol.

The city of Limassol was developed much after the Turkish invasion of 1974. Luxurious hotels, restaurants and numerous entertainment clubs were built and thus the city soon became a significant touristic centre.

ΚΡΙΣΙΜΗ Η 2Η ΑΓΩΝΙΣΤΙΚΗ

Ο Απόλλωνας συμμετέχει για 2η συνεχόμενη χρονιά και 4η στα τελευταία έξι χρόνια στη φάση των ομίλων του UEFA Europa League. Στην κλήρωση που έγινε στη Γενεύη στις 31 Αυγούστου, η ομάδα μας κληρώθηκε στον 8ο όμιλο με αντιπάλους τις Λάτσιο, Μαρσέιγ και Άιντραχτ Φρανκφούρτης. Στην πρεμιέρα του ομίλου η Άιντραχτ επιβλήθηκε της Μαρσέιγ εκτός έδρας με 2-1 ενώ με το ίδιο σκορ ο Απόλλωνας έχασε από τη Λάτσιο στη Ρώμη.

The importance of MD2 of Group H

Apollon Limassol FC managed to participate for second consecutive season in the UEL group stage and this is his fourth presence the last six years. At the draw which took place in Monaco in the 31st of August, Apollon was drawn at the Group H against Eintracht Frankfurt, Olympique de Marseille and S.S. Lazio. The results of MD1 of the Group found Eintracht to win OM away 2-1 and Lazio to win with the same score Apollon.

Με συνολικό σκορ 2-1 η ομάδα μας κατάφερε να πάρει την πρόκριση στον Α’ προκριματικό γύρο του UEFA Europa League 2018-2019, απέναντι στην Στούμπρας. Ο Απόλλωνας ηττήθηκε με 1-0 στον πρώτο αγώνα στην Λιθουανία χάρις στο γκολ του Ματσιαρασβίλι στο 90+1’ μετά από αντεπίθεση και δυνατό σουτ του Γεωργιανού.

Στον επαναληπτικό οι γαλάζιοι ξεκίνησαν δυνατά τον αγώνα και με γκολ του Γιούστε μόλις στο 6ο λεπτό έδειξαν τις προθέσεις τους. Ο Ισπανός αμυντικός με ένα πλασέ στη κίνηση νίκησε τον αντίπαλο τερματοφύλακα

ενώ ο ίδιος ποδοσφαιριστής στο 62’ διαμόρφωσε σκορ πρόκρισης για

την ομάδα μας.

Οι ποδοσφαιριστές του Σωφρόνη Αυγουστή διατήρησαν τον έλεγχο του

αγώνα και πήραν την πρόκριση στον επόμενο γύρο χωρίς δυσκολία.

From the 1st Qualifying Game to the Epic Qualification over Basel!

Round 1 - Rollover Qualification at GSP Stadium

With a total score of 2-1 our team managed to be qualified for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League 2018-2019, against FC Stumbras. Apollon was defeated by 1-0 at the first match in Lithuania thanks to the goal of Matsiyasvili at 90 + 1 ‘after a counterattack and strong shot of the Georgian player.

In the repetitive game, the Blues started the fight vigorously and with Yuste’s scoring goal right just at the 6th minute of the game, they showed their intentions. The Spanish defender with a move in the lead defeated the opponent goalkeeper while the same football player at the 62nd minute, defined a qualification score to our team.

Sofronis Avgousti’s football players retained control of the match and gained qualification for the next round without difficulty.

Β’ γύρος - Εύκολη πρόκριση με δύο νίκες:

Στον επόμενο γύρο η ομάδα μας ξεπέρασε το εμπόδιο της Ζελέζνιτσαρ με

δύο νίκες και συνολικό σκορ 5-2.

Ο πρώτος αγώνας έγινε στη Βοσνία με τον Απόλλωνα να παίρνει τη νίκη

με 1-2 χάρις στο αυτογκόλ του Μπογίσεβιτς και στο εκπληκτικό σουτ του

Σακέτι το οποίο στη συνέχεια ανακηρύχθηκε ως γκολ του μήνα από τους οπαδούς του Απόλλωνα.

Στον αγώνα του ΓΣΠ ο Φώτης Παπουλής ήταν εξαιρετικός, αφού με τρία δικά του τέρματα χάρισε τη νίκη με 3-1 στον Απόλλωνα στέλνοντας τον

στην επόμενη φάση της διοργάνωσης.

Γ’ γύρος - Πρόκριση από τον πρώτο αγώνα:

Στη συνέχεια η ομάδα μας κλήθηκε να αντιμετωπίσει τον νικητή του

ζευγαριού Ατρόμητος - Δυναμό Μπρεστ με την ομάδα της Λευκορωσίας να κερδίζει την πρόκριση στην τελευταία φάση του αγώνα της Αθήνας.

Αυτό το επίτευγμα της ομάδας του Μαραντόνα (ανέλαβε ως πρόεδρος

της ομάδας τον Μάιο του 2018) κράτησε σε επαγρύπνηση τους ποδοσφαιριστές και το τεχνικό επιτελείο του Απόλλωνα ξεπερνώντας και αυτό το εμπόδιο προς τα Play Offs του UEFA Europa League.

Σε αντίθεση με τους προηγούμενους γύρους, ο πρώτος αγώνας διεξήχθη εντός έδρας με τους Λευκορώσους να αποδεικνύονται «σκληρά καρύδια» αφού μέχρι το ημίχρονο η αναμέτρηση ήταν στο 0-0. Με ένα επιθετικό κρεσέντο ωστόσο η ομάδα μας, κατάφερε να πάρει μια σπουδαία νίκη πετυχαίνοντας τέσσερα γκολ σε 45’ λεπτά. Δύο γκολ σκόραρε ο Ζελάγια, ένα ο Μάρκοβιτς και το άλλο επιτεύχθηκε με αυτογκόλ του Βερετίλο μετά από εξαιρετική προσπάθεια του Ζοάο Πέδρο διαμορφώνοντας το τελικό 4-0.

Round 2 - Easy Qualification with two wins

In the next round, our team overcame FK Zeljeznicar obstacle, with two wins and a total score of 5-2.

The first game took place in Bosnia with Apollon winning 1-2 thanks to Bogicevic’s own goal and to Saketi’s stunning shot which was then declared as the goal of the month by the fans.

At the GSP game, Fotis Papoulis has been excellent since his three scoring goals gave Apollon the victory with 3-1, sending the team to the next stage of the tournament.

Round 3 - Qualification from the first game:

Then our team was asked to face the winner of the pair AtromitosDinamo Brest with the team of Belarus winning the qualification in the final phase of the Athens game.

This achievement of the Maradona team (who took over responsibilities as chairman of the team in May 2018) kept the Apollon footballers and the technical staff alerted, overcoming this obstacle towards the UEFA Europa League Play Offs.

Unlike the previous rounds, the first game was held home with the Belarusians proving to be tough opponents, since the match was up to 0-0 at half-time. However, with an aggressive crescendo, our team managed to get a great victory with four scoring goals in 45 minutes. Two goals scored by Zelaya, one by Markovic and the other by Veretilo’s own goal after Joao Pedro’s great effort, forming the final 4-0.

Το σκορ του πρώτου αγώνα επέτρεψε στον Σωφρόνη Αυγουστή να πειραματιστεί στον επαναληπτικό, καταφέρνοντας για μεγάλο διάστημα του αγώνα να κρατήσει τους Λευκορώσους μακριά από την εστία του Βάλε.

Εν τέλει οι γηπεδούχοι σκόραραν στο 86’ με τον Νεκάιτσικ και πήραν μία νίκη χωρίς αντίκρισμα και η ομάδα μας την πρόκριση στα Play Offs της διοργάνωσης με συνολικό σκορ 4-1.

Επική πρόκριση στους ομίλους με γκολ για όσκαρ

Επόμενος σταθμός η Ελβετία αφού οι γαλάζιοι κληρώθηκαν να αναμετρηθούν με το νικητή του ζευγαριού Βασιλεία-Βίτεσσε. Οι Ελβετοί πολυπρωταθλητές επικράτησαν των Ολλανδών με συνολικό σκορ 2-0 και βρέθηκαν έτσι στον δρόμο του Απόλλωνα.

Ο πρώτος αγώνας ολοκληρώθηκε με νίκη της Βασιλείας με 3-2 στο St. Jakob-Park της Ελβετίας. Η ομάδα μας παρά το γεγονός ότι δέχθηκε

νωρίς τέρμα, κατάφερε να ανατρέψει το σκορ σε 1-2 με τους Παπουλή

και Μάγκλιτσα, χωρίς ωστόσο στο τέλος να καταφέρει να πάρει κάτι περισσότερο από τη «στενή» ήττα. Οι Ελβετοί σκόραραν ακόμη δύο φορές

από ισάριθμα κόρνερ και διαμόρφωσαν το τελικό σκορ (3-2) το οποίο όμως έδινε ελπίδες πρόκρισης στην ομάδα μας.

Epic Qualification with Oscar-level scoring goal

Next station Switzerland, after the Blues having been drawn to confront the winner of the couple Basel-Vitesse. The Swiss champions dominated the Dutch with a total score of 2-0 and were thus found on the Apollon track.

The first match ended with Basel victory 3-2 at St. Jakob-Park in Switzerland. Our team, despite receiving a goal early enough, they managed to overturn the score to 1-2 with Papoulis and Maglica, not being able however in the end to get anything more than a “bitter” defeat. The Swiss scored two more times in a corner and formed the final score which gave hope to our team.

A week later, in GSP stadium, our team won its opponent with 1-0 thanks to the amazing scoring goal of Charalambos Kyriakou. With an overall score of 3-3 and in combination with the score of the first game, Apollon has been qualified to the tournament groups, for the fourth time in history.

Ο Απόλλωνας Λεμεσού αγωνίζεται για ακόμη μια χρονιά στις ευρωπαϊκές διοργανώσεις μακριά από τη Λεμεσό. Η ομάδα μας δήλωσε ως έδρα το Γήπεδο ΓΣΠ στην πρωτεύουσα Λευκωσία, το οποίο είναι το μεγαλύτερο και πιο σύγχρονο γήπεδο της Κύπρου.

Κτίστηκε το 1999, είναι κατηγορίας 4 και έχει χωρητικότητα 22.829

θέσεων. Οι διαστάσεις του γηπέδου είναι 105mX68m και ο φωτισμός του 1500 Lux.

Ελπίζουμε ότι την επόμενη χρονιά να μπορούμε να αγωνιστούμε στη φυ-

σική μας έδρα στη Λεμεσό, εφόσον γίνουν οι απαιτούμενες αναβαθμίσεις

στο Τσίρειο Στάδιο, μέχρι την ανέγερση του νέου γηπέδου της Λεμεσού.

GSP Stadium

Apollon Limassol is once again competing in European Competitions away from Limassol. Apollon stated as home groud GSP stadium, given that it is the most modern stadium in Cyprus.

Built in 1999, is a category 4 stadium and can seat up to 22.829 people. Its dimensions are 105mX68m and its flood lighting is 15000 Lux. We hope that this upcoming season we will be able to compete in our legit home ground in Limassol, as long as the required upgrades take place at Tsirio Stadium, until the construction of the new stadium of Limassol.

αποψινός αγώνας είναι ιδιαίτερος για μένα, καθώς θα κληθώ εκ νέου μετά τις περσινές αναμετρήσεις με την Λυών, να αγωνιστώ κόντρα σε μια ακόμη ιστορική ομάδα της πατρίδας μου, τη Μαρσέιγ. Πρόκειται για ένα τεράστιο αντίπαλο με φοβερό εκτόπισμα εντός και έκτος Γαλλίας, ο οποίος διαθέτει ένα πανέμορφο στάδιο, φανατικούς οπαδούς και πολλούς ποδοσφαιριστές παγκοσμίου φήμης.

Παρόλα τα πιο πάνω, όλοι οι ποδοσφαιριστές του Απόλλωνα έχουμε τρομερή διάθεση να αντιμετωπίσουμε στα ίσα την ομάδα της Μασαλίας, με μοναδικό στόχο να κερδίσουμε. Είναι ένα πολύ σημαντικό παιχνίδι για μας, το οποίο κόντρα στα προγνωστικά θέλουμε να κερδίσουμε, για να δώσουμε νέο χρώμα και ενδιαφέρον στον πιο δύσκολο όμιλο της διοργάνωσης.

Έχουμε προετοιμαστεί κατάλληλα ενόψει του αποψινού αγώνα και σίγουρα θα χρειαστεί μεγάλη προσπάθεια για να πάρουμε κάτι θετικό. Γνωρίζουμε ότι η Μαρσέιγ πρέπει να κερδίσει για να συνεχίσει να ελπίζει βάσιμα στη διοργάνωση, το ίδιο όμως ισχύει και για μας.

Όλα αυτά συνηγορούν ότι θα έχουμε ένα αμφίρροπο αγώνα, τον οποίο εύχομαι να απολαύσουν τόσο οι οπαδοί μας, όσο και οι συμπατριώτες μου οπαδοί της Μαρσεϊγ.

A special game...

Tonight’s game is special to me, as I will be called again after last year’s confrontations with Lyon, to fight against another historic team of my home country, Marseille. This is a huge opponent with a tremendous amplitude in and out of France, featuring a gorgeous stadium, fanatic fans and many world-renowned footballers.

Despite the above-mentioned, all the players of Apollon FC have a tremendous mood to face Marseille with the sole aim of winning. It is a very important game for us, which we want to win, to give new colour and interest to the most difficult Club of the event, against all prognoses.

We have been well prepared for the fight, and it will surely take a lot of effort to get a positive result. We know that Marseille must win in order to keep having concrete hopes for the event, however same is applicable for us.

All these imply that we will have a bold fight, and I wish both our team followers and my compatriots, fans of Marseille to enjoy the game.
